Hi! So I've been playing for a few months now and here is my gear so far:

Combuster (Damage vs Undead - Low)
DA - (Damage vs Fiends - Medium & Damage vs Constructs - Medium)
Glacius - (Damage vs Constructs - Medium)
BTB (Damage vs Constructs - Low)

Valiance

Shivermist (CTR - Low)

Divine Veil (ISR - Low)

Divine Mantle - (IED - Low)

Grey Owlite Shield (IED - Low)

Soooo obviously I'm mostly a swordsmen. I like the way GOS plays but I'm starting to think I need a second set of armor/helm. Any ideas as to what would be a good choice? I do a huge variety of tier runs and fight just about all monsters so it's hard to pin any down particularly, though I can say EASILY that shock is my least favorite status affect and levels (particularly arenas) with shock monsters are always horrendous for me. Also, I have played almost fully through the rank missions but have yet to beat Vana or even attempt FSC yet.

Any advice would be lovely! Thanks.

You're inclined towards swords, so wolver will do.

There isnt a perfect global set agaisnt everything. The best solution is to make multiple sets for each damage type.

I know there's no perfect

I know there's no perfect set, I just feel less informed about armor vs. weapons so I was worried I might make something too similar to the divine set or something like that. Thanks for the advice.

You don't need a new set.

If you've finished all the missions in Divine, you'll be well able to finish FSC-minus-Vana in it, too. I suggest trying it a couple of times *with* Vana, to see if you're sufficiently able to dodge his mace that you're able to do Vana in Divine, too.

If it turns out the answer is no, then I'd suggest you start by swapping the Mantle for a Vog Cub Coat. But if the answer is yes, then you should just craft whatever next catches your fancy. For instance, you might decide you want to be able to effectively run a particular Danger Mission or SL, and gear for that.
