This is my first post on the forum. So yeah.

This suggestion is mostly a new mission, featuring a new monster family, boss, blocks, items, and map. This might be a bit long. I'll have a TL;DR at the bottom.

First, the mission is called The Mirror Castle. You get some mirror equipment as a reward.

The new monster family I have in mind is called Reflections. They have no resistances or weaknesses. The monsters in this family are:

1. Mirror Knight - One for each knight in your party. One will look like you, the others will like the others in your party. Let's say there's a user whose username is 'Derp.' The Mirror Knight of Derp with look exactly like him, but "duller." It will have every statistic as the real Derp, but whenever Mirror Derp is hit, the real Derp is hurt as well.

2. Mirror Mecha Knight - This has a chance of spawning when you use a Mecha Knight Kit. Instead of it fighting for you, it attacks you. Like Mirror Knights, these Mecha Knights are "duller" than your average ones.

3. Mirror Box - This has a chance of spawning in the place of a green box. It is "duller" in color than normal green boxes. When you attack it, thinking it's a box, it explodes in your face, creating a mirror icon on your screen, which has a shadow image of yourself. It only shows for about half a second. Then there's some really dangerous enemy like a Trojan or Deadnaught or something. Maybe more like a Surprise Box, but whatever.

That's all I can really think of right now. But anyway, the map will be a completely new design, not some reused map like Savage Salvaging. I'll let OOO come up with a design. There will be Mirror Knights in this map, which will run away from mirrors, much like how Grimalkins run from light.

The boss will be the Mirrodin King. The room where you fight him in has several mirrors on the walls, meaning there will be no Mirror Knights, but there will be some kind of monster continously spawning. Anywho, the Mirrodin King will teleport from mirror to mirror, kind of like the Snarbolax when it burrows. When it teleports to a mirror, it shoots several bullets toward the middle of the room, similar to the Roarmulus Twins. He will also occasionally heal himself, also like the Royal Jelly. Along the room will be crystals, which act like pots. You pick one up, and throw it at the mirror the King is in. He comes out and prances around, and you have to hit him with another crystal to destroy his shield. Then you beat his butt with a sword or something.

Funny I haven't described how he looks. He looks like an over-sized knight with transparent armor and stuff, that looks like like 5* cobalt armor. He has a sword that looks like a transparent striker/cutter. His shield looks like a mirror, the Mirror Shield, which is one of the mission rewards. When he shoots his bullets from the mirror, his sword changes to a transparent master blaster like thing.

So when you beat him, he does the usual explosion thing that all bosses too. He also drops a Mirror Shard, a boss token, that can be traded with Brinks for goodies. Then a door opens and stuff and there's a lift home. YAY!

So yeah. These are the rewards:

1. Mirror Shield - A 4* shield that when held with X reflects beams of light from a new block, a Laser Block, which sends a beam of light in a set direction. The Mirror Shield deflects the beam of light when it touches the front of your body when shielding. If the beam of light touches a Sun Switch, another new block, it will activate something. It is needed for a later map. It has the same stats as the Great (maybe it was solid) Defender.

2. Mirror Sword - A 4* sword that can deflect enemy attacks if swung at the right time. It has the same stats as an Ascended Calibur, but a bit faster and the charge attack it similar to that of a Cutter.

3. Mirror Pendant - A 4* trinket that very slightly increases every stat and resistance.

4. Mirror Blaster - A 4* handgun that has about the same stats as a Master Blaster and looks similar. It's charge attack shoots a large bullet that splits into two slightly smaller bullets every time it hits a wall, which do about half as much damage as the previous bullet. Yeah, I know, it's awesome. Lol.

5. Mirror Shard x2 - You get two Mirror Shard tokens.

6. Sharp Glass Blast - A 4* shard bomb that does both normal and piercing damage. It has about the same stats of a 4* Splinter Bomb.

That's all I can think of. If anyone is awesome at art, I'd like some for all this. I'm pretty suckish.

Items that can be traded with Mirror Shards with Brinks:

1. Polished Mirror Shield Recipe - A recipe for making a 5* Mirror Shield with better stats. I don't feel like listing materials right now. It costs 10 Mirror Shards

2. Mirror Fragment - A material that will be used for mirror item recipes. It costs 2 Mirror Shards.

3. Bright Mirror Sword Recipe - A recipe for making a 5* Mirror Sword with better stats. Costs 10 Mirror Shards.

4. Really Shard Glass Blast Recipe - A recipe for making a 5* Sharp Glass Blast with better stats. Costs 10 Mirror Shards.

5. Super Mirror Blaster Recipe - A recipe for making a 5* Mirror Blaster with better stats. Costs 10 Mirror Shards.

There may be more coming soon.

TL;DR: Read it anyway, you lazy bum.

  1. The shield does something (the beam) which is probably required for a field object to activate. Maps in this game are designed to be possible using any weapon and armor. If the beam is an attack that would make the shield able to attack, which is bad.
  2. The sword is overpowered by the deflection ability alone. Your weapon mechanics are unoriginal recycles of existing content when your title clearly says "new". Also, honk.
  3. That trinket better have negatives if it gives every stat and resistance, not that it would be balanced to begin with. Use the resistance and defense trinkets which exist if you want resistance and defense. They exist, they work, they are obtainable.
  4. Alchemers.
  5. You exchange one token for two. Makes sense.
  6. Do you even know what those shard bombs used to be or are you new to the game?
  7. Boss equipment recipes are not obtained through tokens. Do you know who Basil is? Or the Arcade?

Meh

1. Ok fine, it can be used for getting into bonus areas.

2. Ok fine, only certain attacks, like bullets, and only deflects it in a random direction. And it's just a sketch of the idea o3o.

3. Ok fine, weak against things like elemental, shadow, and status effects.

4. Well, I didn't know they bounced.

5. Couldn't think of a better name for the material.

6. No idea what they used to be.

7. What's wrong with something new?

The standard convention is to not bump sucky threads.

Bumping big threads is accepted but not usually done because people like to be selfish and bump their own threads which usually do not deserve to be bumped.

Not that bumping should happen anyway.

"DO NOT:

  • Post spam or other nonsense that disrupts the forum's formatting, functionality, or usability, including quote pyramids or "bump" posts."

May as well ask how does this work?

" It will have every statistic as the real Derp, but whenever Mirror Derp is hit, the real Derp is hurt as well."

Leads to party trolling .

People would have to rely on high health.

Health trinkets become even more overpowered.

Doppelgangers would have all the weapons the original is holding and can switch among them at will. They also have the same armor, shield, and trinkets as relevant (if you do not have any trinkets equipped neither will the copy). This would mean creating an AI for every single weapon, armor, shield, and trinket they can possibly copy.

You have a point. Erm.... Maybe the mirror knights have all the stats of someone with cobalt armor, but take the appearance of the character?

Well. how bout this would be a party only thing? like one guy cant hurt his reflection but another party member can,and so on,and no when you hit your reflection you get hurt,i see where you come from but its bad mechanics, otherly its a good idea, especially for a 1st timer, dont say bump this though,or i will update if so and so happens, just do it.
