After the newest patch today (of which trying to check the patch notes crashes it) all I've been getting from starting up SK is the loading screen staying stuck at "Resolving Downloads...". I've tried looking this up and it appears to have happened before but with everybody suggesting to un-install Steam or the game itself. The response from that is that it does not work and it somehow fixes itself or the user with the problem simply says "nevermind. It's fixed" with no explanation of how it is.
Can anybody help? I have already tried exiting steam, restarting the computer, and signing back into it.
I am not going to uninstall anything as that doesn't seem to work.
I've been having the same issue. I don't know if you're playing on a PC or Mac but I realized that I had a system update (Mac) and a new Java update. I'm downloading them right now but it's a huge system update so it'll be about an hour to download and install. I won't know anything until then. However, this happens to me on a regular basis when they do patches or updates with SK. Usually, I find that I have over looked an update (system or application update) or the SK download just seems to finally work. I've mailed support before about the problem and they don't tell me exactly what it was that caused the malfunction with the DL, they just tell me that it seems to be working now for everyone and to give it a try again. Sorry, I wish there were more information I could give you.
