I'll be the first to admit that I only know the basics when it comes to computers and troubleshooting. I usually have an issue downloading new patches but, they have always resolved themselves. However, for some reason with this recent Update I cannot get into the game. I have gotten past the initial Download (somewhat), I get to the log in screen and when I click on the knight I want to play sometimes it goes to the screen and says it's finishing the Download and then I get disconnected from the server or I get disconnected while it says I'm entering the Ready Room. I uninstalled the SK app, did a system update, reinstalled and it still happens. I get the same issues when I load through the browser. I've also Verified/Repaired Permissions, done a System/Clean-up Scan.

I am playing on a MacBook Pro.
Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB (I hear it's a crappy but, IDK)
Software: Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G56)
Java: 7
I am using WiFi but it's never been a problem (played for almost a year now)

I have no clue what else to do. Any other information you need I'd be happy to give you (as long as I can figure out how to get it :P)

Is Java 7 the issue here?

IDK but I can't help but wonder if Java 7 is the issue. It is my understanding that Mac has built in Java so once I've updated to Java 7 I can't revert back to Java 6. I hope I'm wrong or that there is a way around this issue. It seems to me that the new Java 7 isn't capable of using 32 bit. This is the last sentence that pops up on my Java Console when I try to run SK.

Java Plug-in 10.7.0.10
Using JRE version 1.7.0_07-b10 Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM

Error: This Java instance does not support a 32-bit JVM.Please install the desired version.2012/09/21 16:04:18:929 INFO e.a: Releasing lock

Anybody's help/input would be appreciated.

First off, THANK YOU for

First off, THANK YOU for responding!!! I really appreciate it. Here's what I've found...

Platform CPU Architecture Version Introduced In Notes
Mac OS X x64 Mac OS Lion(10.7.3) or greater 1.7.0_04 Only 64-bit JVM is certified.

You're right it does have a 32 bit and 64 bit. However, it seems that for my system only the 64 bit is certified. Do you know if it's possible for me to install/use an "uncertifited" Java 32 bit on my computer? I'm not even fully sure what the whole certified thing means, to be honest. Does certified mean that that's the only one that will run on my system or does it mean that it's the only one that does the automatic update for the AppletJava that my computer came with?

Ah yeah. I just looked it up. I seems to me that since all macs are standardized there is no point to make a 32bit Java for mac.

I don't think that's the root of the cause though. SK can run on both 32bit and 64bit java.

Oh... I didn't even realize

Oh... I didn't even realize that. Well, it's extremely possible that I did something stupid and don't even know it. I think I'll drop my computer off at Apple and make sure things are in order. Thanks again.
