what should i use for FSC?

i usually use it on trojans, but not sure i should use it for vana. the CTR could be useful.

?

Your writing is cryptic enough that I can't figure out what your options are. Throw us a bone here.

Neither

Use a Hail Driver, everyone else brings a blitz and shiver, a little extra freeze'll be more useful for you and your optimal farming mates. If you actually practice with the alchemer... you can use it decently by the time you reach FSC.

I use a 4* Blight Needle occasionally, when I feel poison needs to be all over the field... or I'm dealing with a PUG since it seems all you people care about is someone being able to help you farm. Anyway, I'm going to say go with Plague. But since you're asking a question that reminds me of a fluffball... go with blitz.

BTW bopp.... they're asking if a Plague Needle with Damage bonus v. fiends would be more viable for them than a CTR low blitz. Which, since nobody finds Plague as useful as Blitz, I'm going to tell them to go blitz.

but which damage bonus vs. fiends?

Skold-The-Drac, I admit that I decoded all of that. Mostly I was trying not to reward this level of laziness. And we still don't know which damage bonus vs. fiends he has.

I'd bring Plague Needle or Blitz Needle long before Hail Driver. If someone is freezing Vanaduke, you'd rather have a lot more damage than a little more freeze. But I admit that I haven't thought about the ricochet damage very hard. Cheers.

Dat ricochet

Done right? Ricochet internal/off fireballs will net 1600 and change per charge... Takes a little timing and a good aim, but once you get it down you get roughly 10-14 chances for moderate freeze, and i've come to find those chances are all rolled almost at the same time (stray alchemer bullet provides variance). Combine that with putting his crones at a standstill in 3-4 hits/a charge and i'm more than happy to handle the hinderance. (As the deadnaughts on fifth phase always kills my party when i don't bring my pun gun.)
Concerning your targeted point with the OP, i'd imagine someone was gonna come along and answer anyway... May as well get it outta the way and leave the fluffy to his laziness.

good to know

Thanks, Skold-The-Drac. The damage is a lot lower than Blitz Needle, but the freeze may come more often than I expected. I'll give Hail Driver a chance next time I'm down there.

heh.

sorry Bopp about the "cryptic" writing. should have explained more.

I have a medium DMG bonus on fiends.

Thx for the hail driver advice.

But i'm a soloer, so i'm not sure if the shiver its more useful. its mostly for freeze.

oh, solo?

Usually, solo Vanaduke tactics are very different from group Vanaduke tactics. I think that most people solo him by running around him in a circle, firing a gun. So you want a highly mobile gun, such as Argent Peacemaker, Hail Driver, Polaris, etc. Neither Blitz nor Plague is ideal. I've soloed Vanaduke with Blitz, but it's much easier with a mobile gun.

Thx.

Thanks for the information, Bopp.

Ill still want to use the plague or blitz on trojans, though.

Im siding toward the plague for the DMG bonus.

A plain blitz will still probably outdamage it, or be very close.

It may be enough to 1 hit trojans if you remain solo, but then, why would you need the poison if all enemies have low health?

Hmm...

So i might as well use my plague, because of the CTR low.
