I know the Skolver is good for LD, but in varying situations, which one is better?

my two cents
As far as Clockworks play (not Lockdown) goes, here is my opinion. Short version: Vog Cub offers better defense, and Skolver offers better offense.

Skolver = You will be doing HOI more often, and you like to deal with better damage
Vog Cub = Vanaduke runs very often, and you have good speed with your sword
Depends on what you would like to do.

I'd say vog. Ice doesn't damage you and monsters that deal piercing damage are easy to avoid
