In most RPG games, healing or reviving an undead would kill them (even minecraft has the logic). How do they get healed if they have no life to begin with?
Undead monsters should not be able to get healed
I don't think you can heal mobs in minecraft.
Undead beings have no life, this is true, though I believe they are healed by returning the dark energies that made them undead, from just plain dead, so they are healed through the same methods that transformed them from a normal dead thing, to a not so normal undead thing.
"In most RPG games, healing or reviving an undead would kill them (even Minecraft has the logic). How do they get healed if they have no life to begin with?"
That's why it's "most" RPG games. Besides, if something is undead, you can't kill it either can you? Since it also has no life to begin with................So in a way, all games lack logic =)
@Papaya: No, but you can burn it with fire or smash up skeletons so it's pretty much destroyed and therefore incapable of doing any further harm.
However, taking out the ability to heal undead would be silly, since this would make the game easier than it already is. This is not D&D or Nethack. Also, it would be possible to regenerate undead by using black magics to restore the body... or something. >.>
All they do is inject more glue between the bones. You smash them up a bitty, they put them back together a bitty!
Except the totems; that's just plum magic~
T3 menders have a dark crytsal staff, wich doesnt look like 'ligth' or 'good'.
Wings dont use magic, they need physical contact, like a doctor 'bandaging' the wounds.
On most RPGs, zombies react to heal spells and heal items. SK doesnt have those(unless we become able to launch pills)
@Toxicblade: "Undead are hurt by instant health effect."
He didn't mean heal them, he meant any form of healing would logically kill them, considering undead beings were logical in the first place.
I believe undead can be revived because they had no life to start with, with the only way to stop them is to mutilate their bodies. If their bodies were to be put back together in a reasonable manner, with a little spark, they would be functioning again. Since there are other things in this game that are not logical, I can safely say that the reviving mechanisms use dark magic to put their bodies back together and give them that "spark".
The definition of healing things that are already alive is very different than "healing" undead beings. That's why in stories like Harry Potter, resurrection never really works out because the person is still not alive, they are only functioning.
Think of gremlins and those butterflies as "mending their bones back together", rather than using healing magic.
I mean, it actually makes sense that they would be using magic to piece them back together, not really using some sort of "holy magic" that would kill them.
Edit: Oops I just re-posted what Darkbrady said. Speaking of which...Hi Darkbrady! Long time no see!

No, they manipulate Energy into life energy. Don't ask us how. If you did ask us how, we would have to break the laws of physics to answer. But wait, that doesn't matter, because no one ever said SK was in this universe anyway, so it doesn't have to have the same laws of physics... So you could ask...
But either way, Please don't. It hurts mah brain partz :(
they manipulate Energy into life energy.
Thanks for defining magic for us.

Manipulation of energy = Magic
Manipulating energy into "Life" energy = Conjuration
:P
Anyway, they're called gremlin MENDERS for a reason... not Gremlin Battlemedics/Healers/Clerics
I guess you could say that undead also have a similar form of photosynthesis. Turning energy into life force. About the menders..................please read the name again............"menders", "menders", "menders", did I mention "menders"? Gremlin Menders MEND things, not heal, or anything else like that. Maybe some of you guys have forgotten that you don't have to use "magic" to MEND people. Technology works just fine, and seeing that the gremlins are able to manufacture such complicated machines, why is everyone surprised that they can MEND stuff with technology?
I get it now, it's just a long-range sewing kit that they throw at the monsters, is it?
Hey, Zombie! Here! (Throw sewing kit) Fix yourself up, you're a mess!
