I know that you can unlock your HUD but I think once you unlock it, energy depot should not be clickable either because I'm right in the middle of battling and when I turn with my gun/sword and hit at a certain distance I click the energy depot button and end up dying. Also when you die if you click that "Return to Haven" button to the left I think it should say "Are you sure?" because I have clicked it tons of times by mistake while running an important mission and it made me blow a fuse.

It's not like either of the buttons cover the whole screen. It cant be a simple 'accident'.

That's not the point, the energy depot button isn't locked when you locked your HUD. That's why I think it should be.
It may just be the way I play, so forgive me if this sounds crazy but...why the hell is your cursor hovering at the edges of your screen often enough for you to be clicking the HUD left right and centre? Srsly, are you playing like 600x900?
I find my cursor rarely more than a couple of blocks away from my character, as both gunner and bomber, there's just no need to be throwing your mouse around wildly like that. Small movements is all it takes.

I've never made that mistake, but I don't think it could hurt. However, I want the energy depot thing to be clickable. Because I use it. Just lock your stupid HUD, this is exactly what that feature was made for.
As for issues with clicking on the HUD, I'd really appreciate it if OOO made it possible to aim over a HUD panel and keep rotating. I often find myself gunning at the clock in LD.
And while we're here, it'd be nice if OOO made it possible to open up the gate map by clicking on the text that says what depth you're on/your mission/whatever.
Also I'd like HUD locking not to apply to vials.
