Title says it all. Need to know if a Grav-tovec strategy would work in T2.
3* Graviton: Does it pull stuff in LD?
Given my limited experience in T2 LD bombing, I can say that the 3* vortex does not have the crucial pulling power as the 5* in T3. If even a non-striker can easily stroll their way out of a 3* vortex, there's definetely a serious problem.
Really, you're better off using 3* Freezing Vaporizer. That's the main thing T2 clones don't have natural defense against that they do in T3.
I used an Electron Charge for a while, before I switched to the Lightning Capacitor. It works, and it's fun, but I don't like it as much as the alternatives.
The vortex does pull you in, and it does hold you in place, and there isn't an armor or UV that defends against it. However, there's a brief gap after the suction has ended but before the damage-dealing explosion- if your enemies have their wits about them, you won't deal damage with the bomb alone. Furthermore, the bomb's radius is also noticeably smaller than a 3* haze bomb, or even a 1* status bomb.
Most annoyingly, you can't use a vortex to help you capture a point. The vortex pulls enemies towards wherever you stood when you placed the bomb, which means you can't stand on a point and keep people off it.
No. 1 troll startegy:
Go as a recon, get CTR Max! with another vortex-bomber. Wipe floor with other team, trap in base. Spam vortices over each barrier.
Problem, physics?
Better if you have a clone at each side to help mop up people who get sucked in.
Seriously?
Use the Freezing Vaporizer mkII - bigger radius, longer effect, will always effect anyone in it, cannot be escaped from, will shieldlock Guardians.
Are you using it on guardians? Guardians are immune to any sort of forced movement, including the pull of vortex bombs
Really annoying, but I can get out of the pull if I am playing Striker
I don't know why 3* specifically, but yes, graviton bombs work in lockdown on anything that isn't a guardian.
