Perhaps a new stranger offering the starter armours and helms in any colour you so desire?
The standard versions would be 50k apiece (any of the starter armours/helms, new or old, in any of the standard colours - Toasty, Heavy, Military, Dusky, Fancy, Cool, Regal - select colour and then style when you buy, with preview options available for simplicity).
Then it might also be possible to purchase 'premium' versions in Volcanic, Divine or Prismatic styles. These would be significantly more expensive than the other, standard options; at least 250k cr, if not more. They would have the same item options as the basic versions, so you would be able to get Volcanic/Prismatic/Divine Round Helms, Flak Jackets and so forth.
(Potentially, you could make it so that you would need to have unlocked certain achievements/prestige ranks to purchase these; either all three become available at Vanguard rank, or you get Prismatic at x Prestige and then Volcanic and Divine at y Prestige. You'd still need to pay to buy them, though.)

What about featured auctions of a certain type of helm and armor every week where the buy out is set?
I think it be nicer then chaps that dont have the other piece or useless masks that expire!

Aye, they already have the starter sets in Surge/Hunter; they don't want people passing tem up because they have an NPC that's more conveniently selling "close enough" versions.
