there should be another box like iron and mirror lockbox that contains old promo stuff so those who missed it will have a chance to get it. it should be a golden lockbox/ gem lockbox. reason i make this post is i would like to get some of the stuff i never had a chance to get or stuff i got and would like more of. doubt this will ever happen or if ooo even read this suggestion but i guess i give it a try.

The rate is so disgustingly low that it'd...not even remotely give anyone the slightest extra inclination to go through the arcade, on the minuscule off-chance that they get a 2* weapon that they could have bought for 500cr.

here's an idea
once they get "enough" accessories, there gonna need to start categorizing Lock Boxes.
I suggest Lock boxes for each type of accessory, and drop rates for each being varied according to how desirable they are;
Headgear Lock Box
Torso Lock Box
Back Lock Box
Tail Lock Box (they really need to make more tail accessories)
Aura Lock Boxes (this would work with the current amount, but I could see them waiting till there are at least 20)
and the ultra rare, "Ye Old Lock Box", containing any random accessory that was a event or promotion exclusive (these would obviously be super rare and worth big bucks, having things ranging from Pumpkin Bandolier and Love Aura to Snowfall Aura or Tails Tails, maybe even the steam helm) This one is just an idea folks.
anyway, there gonna have to do something like this if they keep adding more. probabilities of getting certain colors are way to low if they don't.

it's not bad for OOO's to keep it like it is, I only meant that they would need to if they want to allow people to actually get items of the specific color they want to make a matching set for their gear. if there are 200 accessories at some point in the future, and of those, each one has 15 color variants, your never gonna see some of those on the AH, probably ever.
It doesn't really affect them if we do or don't get the accessories in the colors we want, but it is extremely inconvenient for anyone trying to actually get all of the accessories to match.
while this may not affect the OOO's, it does effect the community of players interested in that aspect of the game, which I can only hope OOO's realizes are the people willing to fork out tons of cash for accessories :P

Where are you getting these figures from? OOO has added only one item to the ILBs in the last few months: the parrying blade. All other accessories, and colours, have been from promos, and those are intended to be limited supply items that you might have trouble getting once the promo's over. Where are you getting "200 accessories" and "15 color variants" from?

Which non-promo accessories are currently hard to get? As far as I know, only the rare colours (divine, volcanic, prismatic) and the normal coloured gen 1 wings. Everything else pops up on the AH at least once a week. (Actually, many times a day in the case of the more common accs.)

This does affect OOO a little. People always buy extra packs (real money) they dont need to hold onto them, then profit.
If the items resurface, then holding them wont increase their value anymore, people wont hoard packs thus spend less money.

Pretty sure I've been seeing at least one of each common scarf every week. As for auras, there is no matching issue as they generally go with everything. (Theozai was complaining about matching problems, not items that are simply rare.)

yeah, I guess all the regular colors pop up every week. I mostly was refering to the inconvenience for people trying to match rare armor sets, like if you want to find matching accessories for Vog set, volcanic stuff is pretty popular, and pricey, but if your going for a prismatic set, well.....thats just insane, and may or may not take you up to a year before you even see some of the accessories you want.
as for the random numbers, I was just using them as an example, cause I was suggesting that as OOO's keeps doing promotions, well eventually see so many types and color variants, that percentages for getting certain pieces that you want may be below 1%.
anyway, it was just an idea, I didn't really mean to suggest that it would be something they do given the current items, but if they had numbers like that in the future (which could happen if they introduce multiple types and colors in a single promotion within a year if they did one every few months), but I suppose I was under the assumption that many items that were "promotion releases" are available in Lock Boxes now, such as valkerie wings, dragon wings, cat tails and extra vertical vents.
well, anyway, I suppose you could just have colored lock boxes, like a "cool lock box" or "Toasty Lock Box", which would be the same idea but a little more clean. you could still have iron lock boxes too, but with color specific ones, maybe you could make it so they give more then one accessory, since they are color bound and would not contain things like auras.
anywho, just an idea. no longer suggesting it lol.

Oh, I see.
I think maybe that misconception is the key. As far as I'm aware--I could be wrong!--promo items do not get added into ILBs once the promo is over. If they did, your concern would make a lot more sense.
But y'know, I would actually quite like to see the coloured lockbox idea in action. It seems reasonable and would add an element of choice to unboxing. (Kinda dull to just mindlessly open ILB after ILB.)
