PLease!? The title says it all. Converting to steam was the worst idea i have ever done. The way the advertisement made it look was that achievements and converting your account was the way of the future. Only to find out it made no real difference, lag, and an annoying login and ce buying methods. I would, and many other players have said the same, we would love a way to just get back to an old Sk client without having to go through steam. Please find us a way to do this option.

Players Comment Below if you also would like a way to convert back to SK from Steam. Not a one way street.

I just need a way to convert my acc, period.

However, this'd be easier done than converting my kong acc, and it'd be useful to people with technical issues, etc. So +1.

*shrug* It gives you, what,

*shrug*
It gives you, what, two warnings that the conversion is perm and cannot be undone? If you clicked okay without doing the proper research that's really just your own fault. It's like deleting your character after all the warnings then saying you had no idea that it'd be perm. There's plenty of topics of people asking if converting is worth it and getting feedback from both Steam and non-Steam players.
Not that I see where the problem is, tbh...imo it made zero negative difference at all~

Also, you can still use the SK client itself, you'll just need to login with your steam details. There's plenty of topics on the backdoor method throughout the forums (for such time as when Steam may be malfunctioning).

The papaya agrees

@Darkbrady You can use the SK Client yes...................but sometimes Steam is down for maintenance, OR your computer is just not happy with Steam (a very common problem). Please remember that in order for a converted Steam account to play on the SK client they have to have Steam running (and online).

To repeat myself: Also, you

As in...when steam is down, you can still log in through the client.

It'll cause problems with OOO's partnership with Valve. Also, unnecessary.

Its SUPER rare but it happens.

SuPER SUPER RARE. but you can ask a GM with a valid reason why you need to move out. If its possible, after alot of hassle, a GM will move your knight to a open account.
But this doesnt happen so often.

Steam accounts seem to

Steam accounts seem to perform worse graphically, and are also less smooth framerate wise - you can see this when playing side by side with the normal client. (I tested on a high-end PC, not sure about low-end.)

This is probably no big deal for 90% of players, but for those who want the fastest possible client and game performance, they should at least be warned that converting to steam does mean lower overall performance versus the straight client.

So overall, choice is good. +1.

You probably shouldn't note when OOO makes an exception to a rule that is intended to caution players from acting rashly.
