Plate armor looks like a fat samurai with tiny feet.
I'd prefer if it looked kinda like this:

Subjective. Everyone has different taste. We cant please everyone. Thats why you can put costumes on top.

Go get cobalt armor, that's what the picture you put up is, plate armor looks heavy and fine as it is. Then small legs look correct as well. Think its not as if we need more weight under all that armor.

I actually love the design of the plate armour. The feetless thing is just a gimmick for all SK armours, but I think it goes very nicely with the rest of the plate suit.

One of my costumes utilises the Spiral Plate armor as a Samurai-esque costume and I think it looks fine.
Feet could do with being a little thicker though. Looks like he has two wooden legs. Y'arrrr!

I'm sorry but Siegfried from SC3 is not the example of what plate armor should look like, that game is way to specific to use as a template for SK.

but SK plate armor seems to be based off the Great Helm and Samurai Plate Mail
that said, I for one like it, though I would prefer the Plate Mail to be a bit thicker, most notably around the chest and waist.

That armour in the OP looks like your regular Almirian Crusader armour.
Plate is thick, heavy, and sturdy.
That looks like a combination of Cobalt and Wolver.
