@Canine-Vladmir, You probably want to have an active guild or group of friends searching for the PK. They can invite each other whenever they find him. Just make sure you try and find a few lairs to return the favor.

Levels
In which levels do you have a chance of encountering the pumpkin king? Is it all levels that show the clockworks logo? Because the update said "Clockwork tunnels style levels," and the wiki only lists Clockwork Tunnels, Power Complex, Blast Furnace, Cooling Chamber, and Wasteworks. So not Deconstruction zones? Any others?

Every level that has the gear symbol except the Decon Zones has a chance to spawn the PK in place of a Danger Room. Since DZs don't have Danger Rooms, they don't have the PK.

You should be able to get items for every box you open. Please be sure that when you buy the box, you should check your inventory to see if it's there. You should be able to get more items

I could have sworn it was possible for there to be a Punkin King area and a Danger Room in the same level, as Monocelha said.
Anyway, who's got good strategies for fighting the Punkin King? Here's what I've heard, but can anyone confirm?
Good to use
- Autogun (and upgrades)
- Flourish/Snarble Barb (and upgrades)
- Rocket Hammer
- Antigua (and upgrades)
- Weapons that apply the Freeze status
Bad to use
- Anything that applies the Stun status (see here)
- Troika (and upgrades)
I can change these lists as necessary, or Benightz is free to adopt it. Either way, feedback would be appreciated.

Danger rooms and Punkin King
You can definitely have the PK and danger rooms in the same level, as that happened to me twice today.
Also, I don't think you even have to kill gourdlings in T3. The (I guess only 1 time) time I played it they just ran up and suicided, or maybe my weapon 1-shoted them...

To make the required areas more specific:
-Must have a gear icon on the elevator during Arcade runs.
-Check your map (hotkey "M") to see the possibilities of the next floor. If the next floor is a Decon Zone, then the gear icon will not apply.
-Even with the icon, you have a chance NOT to trigger the event.

Punkin King
Ok, how on earth do you solo the Punkin king?!? I got "trick" for the first time (after 10 times in a row of getting "treat") and I basically just ran around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to catch up with him. I landed one hit. One. And I tried shooting at him when I realized I couldn't catch him, but I couldn't seem to hit him with my gun either. The gourdlings got in the way a little, but weren't a significant problem. I just couldn't catch him or predict where he was going at all.
Tips? Tricks (yes.. I know, forgive the pun...king *facepalm*) Please?
If it helps I was fighting him on T2

A small update...
There are two versions of trick. One is greyish gourdlings that cause stun. Which slows you down if hit. The second, more vile one IMO, is when the gourdlings are reddish colored and explode much like blast cubes, leaving bits that explode later. There is no easy way to predict the Punkin Kings movement. I can say after you hit him a few times he will bounce to the next adjacent side of the room. So from a parallel side to perpendicular, and vice versa, sides that are CONNECTED. So if he moves(jumps), run at an angle to the next connected side, and he should be there if not, he's opposite of you. Just keep moving after him, you'll hit him eventually. Its better with party members, more angles of attack.

The "bombling" things
I actually think the bomblings are easier to handle, as they just run up to you and suicide.
I think (I am not sure) that the bomb/gourdlings drop tokens too, so it is easier to handle bomblings cause they run up to you, blow up, and drop stuff. This leaves an open path for you to chase the PK instead of worrying about the little guys.
Gourdlings on the other hand, they stun you and get in your way so that the PK just bounces away

The "bomblings" don't drop tokens (this was posted in another thread, though I guess it could be wrong), but maybe it looks like that because they are exploding close enough the the Punking to hit him? Anyway, I had better luck the second time, but I still didn't get the full amount of tokens that he drops for treat. I stood next to him with a fully charged attack, so as soon as he said trick I could get some guaranteed damage in. I really should have thought of that the first time. I also heard that freeze is super useful, but I haven't tried it. I also managed to back him into a corner with knockback once and that was helpful.

There's actually an easy solution
If u have an alt account with a 4-1 mission clearance guy you can do it easily while getting him tokens too
The thing is pk almost never goes to the center, hes always on the edge. So with ur alt and normal guy step on the party button but leave ur alt there all the gourdlings will mob him in the center and u can kill pk quite easily plus ur alt also gets tokens which u can buy stuff with and mail to ur main
(It's best to have strong armor with normal defense on alt)

I tried selling the prize box
But it didn't work. I tried the Auction House and it said "Not tradeable" or whatever it said. When I get the Spookat mask, I'll try mailing the mask to my other knight. If it doesn't work, then it is bound when purchased.

Solo?
I usually try to use six-shooters/autoguns to rip through the horde and snag PK simultaneously. For melee, I use SS end-lines' (like GranF or DivA) charge attacks. Alternatively still, wear mercurial set with charge time decrease variants, and use the caliber line.

Is it guaranteed?
Is it guaranteed to get PK in specific levels?
I got PK in every gear level up until today when I went into the Cooling Chamber Haunted passage, so nothing is guranteed, or the level I went to just can't have PK
And then that makes me wonder if its possible to meet PK in other levels that aren't the "gear" ones

wow everything except how to farm properly...
had an awesome experience with a bombie trick, as soon as the spawners came on, pk died, it was epic. it was a trick that felt like a treat. if u time it right, u can hit pk with muliple charges to kill him instantly when in a party

Is there a way to view Halloween equipment without actually equipping it and binding it to you? Preferably, I'd like to preview it on my knight, but I'd settle for just a catalog of pictures. It would help me build my wishlist/decide what to keep and what to sell.
