Hi,
I just played the new prestige mission which has came with halloween event, and i have 3 questions.
1-Which weapons should i use from the list of the weapons in the below(i dont have weapon slot upgrades):
Combuster
FF
DA
Polaris
AP
Storm driver
AoA
2-I often waste my 20 me by cant getting any tokens because i cant even hit to jumping boss when there are bombie pumkin spawners. What should i do when i got this situation?(Zombie pumkins are not problem, i can dodge them easily)
3-How does jumping pumkin king drop tokens? By only hitting or dealing a certain amount of damage?

fast weapon

For the rest of the level, which is undead-themed, you want elemental weapons such as Combuster. As far as I can tell (others may know more), the Punkin King lasts for about 10 hits of any weapon. I mean, you just have to land hits on him. So you simply want any fast weapon with a big hit area. I usually use something like Final Flourish (although its hit area is smaller than it was last year). I wonder what a party spamming Polaris or Argent Peacemaker would do. Bombs seem to have some weird effects sometimes; there have been some threads already about bugs with bombing PK.

The bombies are a new feature this year. They don't appear in every PK fight. They make the fight much harder. I don't know what to recommend, other than to keep an eye on your health and maybe use some pills.

I think that PK jumps around until you land the required number of hits (about 10). Then he drops all of the allotted candies (which depends on tier). But I could be wrong.

Can you freeze him?

I have gotten too many treats to find out, the one time I did get a trick I had my Nitro, but I wanna try it with my Shiver...Its weird, I swear my nitro was much more effective last year, or maybe I forgot how to use it against him...

If you can freeze him, it solves all my problems...

I also noticed that the problem with gunning is that I don't think you can hit him while he is the air, and only when he comes down each time he bounces. Not sure if that affects bombs or swords

The double-strike and long

The double-strike and long 5-swing combo definitely makes the Cutter line useful on PK.

Yes, you can freeze him. If you know how to land it, shiver-blitz will take out a massive chunk of life. The rocket hammer should finish him oft.

Ice is the best on him... have a couple people spam shiver while the rest blitz/warmaster rocket hammer him. Warmaster rocket hammer is preferred, because it offers a quick save if you botch it and he escapes the ice.

so is it health or hits?

So does he have a fixed amount of health (and thus take a variable number of hits) or does he take a fixed number of hits? I've always thought the latter, but I don't have any strong evidence.

Doesn't really matter if the goal's to hit him with as much force as possible until it dies. That's why you get the best of both worlds with the hammers and blitz. I think it's health, though, because I accidentally went at him with a Sentenza the first time.

"Doesn't really matter if the goal's to hit him with as much force as possible until it dies."

It matters a great deal if you don't have/use those "best of both worlds" weapons. I have been assuming it's health-based, and so using FoV charges. If it's purely hit-based, then I've been doing a very silly thing. :<

I think it's health as it takes a while to hit him with regular hits but a max damage FoV charge one-shots him when solo (and nearly kills him in a group of 4)

Lick

I think it's actually a mix of the two. He will die after a certain amount of damage but will drop a portion of his candy after being hit a certain number of times, with certain hits not causing drops. The two main things that seem to lower candy drops are the hammer dash, and fire ticks.

Just out of curiosity...

Has anyone tried hitting the Punkin King with a Sleep Vial?
