Were Demos based on the bomberman series?

In beta, They acted similar to the mechanics(Small charge click, larger hold), the cutesy design that are similar.

The bomberheads had several simerlarities to the bombermen, and the Blast bomb has a HUGE likeness!

And there is Blast Network! It's like bomberman!

Only thing different is the abundance of power-ups in bomber man and the lack of throwing bombs.

i would like they give us those costumes :c well as far i remember they told me for sure the bomberman will never make it as costume for spiral knights (i imagine due copyrights) but for the other 3 nick wasnt sure. but Link costumes i always see references on him in some games like Terraria or Dofus.
