Spiral Knights Christmas (The Gremlin Grinch)

As this Dark Harvest's layout was much approved by a lot of people, the members of EoS and I have come up with a couple of ideas for the upcoming Christmas event.

The Gremlin Grinch
Following the Grinch story, there could be a "Punkin Room" in the clockworks which is instead the lair of the gremlin grinch who has stolen all the christmas presents from everyone.

To get them back (much like the punkin when standing on the button) he could have 1 of 2 decisions, either he has a change of heart (Treat) and gives out all the presents OR just giggles to himself and tries to kill you (Trick).

The Sour / Hard / Sweet Candies are just Green / Red / Blue presents which you can hand in to the vendor for "Jingle Boxes" or 1 of the 3 proto helms with santa hats attached for permanent costumes.

Jingle Boxes
Jingle Boxes include a red and white reskin of the armors and accessories that the previous reskins have followed. (Maybe demo/salamander/jelly lines will get some loving too)

The Jack O' Bombhead could be the end of a cracker with the broken fuse that snaps being the fuse of the bombhead.
The Punkin Bomb Bandolier could be remodelled to be a Bauble Bandolier.
The 1% chance aura could be the Jingle Aura which is fairylights (christmas tree lights to those not from the UK) wrapped around your knight that glow either in a pattern or constantly.

Reskins
Seeing as there has been one reskin for the Leviathan Blade (Scissorblades) I figure this would be a perfect time to have Flourishes (Toothpicks to you forum-goers) reskinned as candycanes. I've always wanted to poke someone to a sugary death.

Almirian with a red personal colour reminds me of Santa all the time so it could easily be changed up to make a Santa Suit armor.

Misc.
Antlers as Helm Side accessories.
Star from the top of a Christmas Tree as a Helm Top accessory (Like the Anniversary Candle)
Glowing Red Nose as a Helm Front accessory.
Wind-up Key as an Armor Back accessory (Like the wind-up toys)
(The accessories could go on forever with ideas so I won't go too trigger happy)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for reading! These are just a few thoughts, I'm sure they've already come up with a tonne of ideas

What is going on in your Guild?

meh. its exactly the same thing as DHF but its just snow covered and jolly themed.
Where can we find this grinch? fiend levels?
i dont know. im not so sure, i believe OOO already came out with an idea by now for Christmas.

as for the aura, it can be Christmas LED lights dangling from the avatar.

Commenting on the accessory colors...

Probably would be better to actually have it Freeze themed. Currently, there is no preset that is green/red, but there is a different version of cool that seems to be freeze oriented. Perhaps that could work?

Now Hadn, one other thing. I like the Hallow box idea, it works well. But the problem is the value of Iron Lockboxes plummet. Because of the tried and true mechanism (open a box, and the prize wheel has a higher chance of giving you an iron lockbox), people have a ton now. Doing this every festive season will only keep the prices low, as the supply of them grows. The other thing is while the value of such items starts up high, within a few days, they get really low, due to , -again-, supply and demand. This makes it so that you either sell at a low cost, or, you wait till people want them again, long after the festival event.

Just my thoughts.

Well..

@Canine-Vladmir - I think you're missing the point. It is just a rethemed Dark Harvest event because it has been a success. I already mentioned that they probably already have their ideas yes, it was just a suggestion. Fairylights are Christmas Tree lights so yep, on point with that one.

@Ailment - I see what you're saying about the colours but there aren't really that many armors / helms that have fit the Hunter / Surge / Hallow theme either. White and red fits in with other schemes more than those as white is a neutral colour.

About the lockbox situation, sure the prices of lockboxes have plummeted but the price of the keys remain the same. You get lockboxes free from a prize wheel so any amount from selling them is still a profit. As for the items involved in the event, everyone gets what they want so I don't see the bad point. OOO gains from having more players buying elevator passes to delve into the clockworks as much as they can to gain the tokens to open more boxes to get what they want and the items get saturated so much that even those that can't afford to buy an elevator pass / use their mum's credit card, can still get what they want. I don't see the negatives in this system.

Would like a mix of frost and festive themes.

The wind-up key, antlers etc. would be awesome, but they're kind of restricted thematically. Adding frost-themed stuff as well, as Ailment suggested, would balance that out by giving us stuff that could be more easily matched.

@Njbabes - Haha yeah the

@Njbabes - Haha yeah the grinch idea was Joosi's.
@Addisond - Ah thanks, would be good to see Impostoclaus again though, I want to shake his belly like a bowl full of... jelly.
@Brady - Yes.
@Flamaxe - You and me both sir! We need more back / front armor accessories.
@Derprules - Yeah I see what you mean about things matching, the last 3 recolours haven't exactly been able to match with a lot of other things either though, Surge moreso perhaps since the deep red is similar to volcanic things. Not a lot of other armors are bright orange or green.
@Joosi - SO EXTRA, SO JOOSI
@Monocelha - Haha I didn't realise that! It would probably be the closest that Assassin's Creed fans could get
