Storm Driver - ASI or CTR?

I recently crafted a CTR med Voltech and afterwards a ASI med Voltech - I plan to use one of them primarily for PvP as a main weapon as I'm a pure striker gunner in PvP.

My question: Which UV would be more useful for LD?
I already have a Nova Driver with a CTR low UV which I tend to use a lot for its high damage charge attack.

For LD specifically?

For LD specifically? Probably the ASI, unless you find yourself charge attacking very often.

I charge attack with my Nova

I charge attack with my Nova very often in LD, which I could use as an opener which I could follow up with a Storm, but then, I could also use my Storm as an opener to apply shock...
I'm leaning towards ASI right now because it would let me alchemer switch shot more fluidly and because it would be better for general purpose deathmatch where I'd be firing regular Storm shots, but I also use a Valiance primarily for deathmatch.

Well one way to look at it is

Well one way to look at it is that ASI will affect everything you do in LD, from regular attacks, alch switching to animation reduction for charges, whereas cCTR will only affect you when you charge, which you may not do that often, situationally. In CW I'd go with the CTR because I spam it there a lot more, but LD doesn't always allow for that, and if you have other guns at the ready then switching may very well happen often enough for ASI to be more beneficial.

Many of the

Many of the successful/skilled gunners that I've (tried) to fight with in LD (also striker class) use the Storm Driver to give me an instant shock, then while I'm shocked they alch switch to umbra driver then back again, effectively locking me in place, so I would say the ASI is the more useful uv. A CTR uv on an Umbra Driver would be more useful (once when I was in mercurial demo suit with no heart trinks I was 1 hit by an Umbra charge attack with full health D: it's like the GF of guns XD).

@Sir-Alfred: I do the same

@Sir-Alfred: I do the same instagib thing with my Nova Driver (basically an Umbra except Elemental) - I remember one time where I one shotted a Mad Bomber Recon with one charge shot (his armor resists Elemental!)

But yeah, I think I'll use ASI for my future Storm since it seems to be the most useful for LD - I can use my Nova for charge attacks and alch switching.

Err...

I upgraded my ASI med Voltech to a 4* Volt Driver, but then today I crafted a ASI High Voltech.
Should I sell the ASI High Voltech and continue upgrading the ASI med Volt or start from scratch with the ASI High one (and be unable to unbind the ASI med one due to insufficient funds)?

If you primarily play in the

If you primarily play in the CW then asi:med is really all you'll ever need as bonuses from other gear can max it off just fine. vh actually tends to be redundant in CWs unless the player wants to run a hybrid build. That way you could sell it, for a decent price, get some cash to fund other guns or armour. Then again, you might try hybrid builds and find the extra +1 useful. Or maybe you won't. Who knows until you try.

Buuuut if you have a heavy presence in LD, then every last point of everything counts, so not using the asi:high you have at your disposal would be a sin upon yourself; you'll be able to fund an unbind of your weapon later so you won't be holding head weight.

Having the +1 ASI would be

Having the +1 ASI would be nice for me, but I notice that +1 ASI is almost negligible for guns. In PvE, I would overshoot max ASI if I had a Swiftstrike and Seerus with a ASI High gun. Also, by selling the ASI High, I wouldn't need to unbind and sell the ASI med Volt Driver, and it would provide me with cash to replace my Seerus mask with a Shadowsun Stetson and one Elite Trueshot with a Penta-Heart Pendant for LD purposes. Surviving more than two toothpicks is always good, and the Stetson gives me more resistance to GFs. For PvE purposes, the Stetson gives me a full shadow defense loadout and gives me more flexibility with trinkets.

Tbh you only really notice a

Tbh you only really notice a difference in alchemer asi if you're alch-swicthing, which requires them all to have the same ASI totals, so having one alone won't suffice anyways. For now, if you're just focusing on CWs then definitly stick w/ the CTR UV, as you'lll use the charge a lot, especially in FSC.

I already have a Nova that has Ultra CTR with a Seerus mask - I spam the hell out of that anyway :P
I guess I'll sell the ASI High Voltech then.
