I suggest that this phrase never be used again. It's 1) obvious 2) patronising and 3) ineffective on the few users who'd actually comment without reading what they're commenting on.
Who's with me?

Sup? Wanna buy a green tab? :3
P.S. "3) ineffective on the few users who'd actually comment without reading what they're commenting on."
I always thought it was implied to read something before replying to it.
We still have the Blandaxt Bunch undoubtedly spoiling our giggles and mud eating.
Common sense implies that you can't comment on something without knowing what you're commenting on, and you can't know what you're commenting on if you don't read it. Anyone who doesn't realise that is hardly going to be swayed by a request to do what common sense already dictates.
The comic geniuses above are only proving my point. If they had been serious rather than joking, would the notice "please read before replying" have stopped them from making those responses? Of course not.
I have probably bought too many haunted auras, and am kinda regretting that. But overall, can't complain!
