Hi Spiral Knights

You might or might not know this but spiral kngihts is loosing people!

This is because the lower you go in the area when you have 3-4 star equipment it makes it hard and more impossible to go futher down. So alot of my guild and friend have left and thats about 110-155 who has left spiral knights. I know why people have left and its because the energy for 5 stars it soo much for one peice of equipment. A lot of people are getted fed up with its so they get bored and leave. Is their a way to stop people leaving e.g. have it like a proper game with a menu of Easy,Medium or Hard Settings. You could change the energy per star to this: 1 star = 10 energy, 2 stars = 50 energy, 3 stars = 150 energy, 4 stars = 300 energy and 5 stars = 600 energy. I hope you can understand where i'm going with this. thanks for reading my message!

Dear Smallmans

Ye tried.

Nobody could stop Three Rings from understanding the issue currently. We never could knew whether is the economies are making it harder, or this. Not even one suggestion of this can wake them. :/

There used to be a very difficult way to craft equipments via the alchemy machine. For non-knowledgable players, the old times can change, pretty fast and within a blink of an eye.

See this. An old player used to get these(we also made this far) enjoyable moments, or worst, this is the 'then'.

1. There was no people at town yes all the ppl at bazaar
2. Jelly king is very hard
3.Almost the player were using vog and grey owlite shield
4.there was no auction house yes 4* weapon are like 500ce and 5* weapon are 2500ce
5.there was no twins and snabolax
6.basil sucks well he still sucks
7.Fish was trying to eat octane and milkman Yes fish don't use the word RICH he use I will eat your eyeballs (wait what who-- oh right i guess im going to find this person and eat him)
8.Recipes are 40k and crating fee is 300ce damn cheap.
9.there was no pvp
10.There was many Rookies

---------------

What about the 'now'?

1. Town Square is filled with people, rich or not. After the auction house has been released, all players moved to Town Square as their chit-chat relaxing time.
2. Royal Jelly King is dead within 19 seconds.
3. Almost all players wear Skolvers and Final Flourishes around them, also Gran Fausts and Divine Avengers.
4. Auction House released. The weapons have increased their prices thanks to the Supply Depot. 4*, 1800 ce per equipment, 5*, 3600 ce per equipment. Making yer own crafting is better than buying them.
5. There is now Roarmulus Twins and Snarbolax. And many danger missions with mini-bosses.
6. Basil got his business ruined 89% thanks to Hall of Heroes Recipe Co.
7. Pula is a baby hater. He doesn't likes my poor Crusts the lovely love puppy and always grab a chainsaw and chase me. ;n; (not important, move along)
8. Recipes are now 25k, however crafting fee for energy is now 800 ce.
9. Blast Network and the arrogantly Lockdown has been introduced.
10. Now there's really less rookies on Haven.
11. Let me add this one, the economy changes every month and upsurges energy prices. Never really went down back to 4000 crowns per 100 ce now. Nevermore.

---------------

If yer friends came just today and played miserably and jumped their ships, I wouldn't complain. But I'm deadly going to be sad when people jumped their ships too early because ce price for each 100 was 3400 crowns each before and it was the lowest cost I ever seen.

Do ye need more history research? Also, making another change to the crafting fees causes paradoxes. Don't do that.

Give another consideration to yer claim. Thanks.

So in short,

The difficulty was dumbed down to appeal the wider audience and they moved the cost weight from the crown cost to the CE. Yeah, seems about right.

Specifically, certain of people complained that the recipe cost was too high and CE was pretty much under balance. Three Rings made an balance for this and changed the recipe cost to 25000 crowns and CE will be 800 each 5* craft.

It was never the alchemy machine's problem.

Why the rush and complain about 5*? Cant you enjoy 3-4* a little more?
Besides 2 special misssions (the gauntlet arena and arkus) you're not losing anything special for having lower armor. Every level available at T3 is also avalable at T2 or T1. You can use the arcade for bosses.

If they can't hack it to 5*

If they can't hack it to 5* in SK they'll never get very far in any MMO that has a playtime longer than 8 hours. Honestly, I wouldnae worry so much about folk who're willing to quit so easily after getting as far as 4*.

Ah. What a useless thread wasn't worth my time, Spiral Knights is extremely easy to play at this time. Only thing I have a problem with is how freaking messy the game is now days.

This thread should be in the Graveyard. :c

Considering it's really

Considering it's really pointless to have a 4 star winmillion and not have a 5 star version...

Fixed.

Was annoying me .-.

Hmm...

>Old crafting cost with current CE price is 40,000cr+U*27,000 cr (U*18,000 cr with a full mist tank), with U being the number of items you will craft for the same recipe.
>Current price is 25,000cr+U*72,000 cr(or U*63,000 cr with a mist tank).

>Crafting a single 5* item for the 1st time 67,000 cr
>Now it costs 97K...
Wow...

Not to mention the increase of demand of CE since the change, on which I'm very positive it inflated (and still does) the price...

@Spaghetti-Knight

Not sure if regrettable, but my logic was that if they already tried to make a balance but unsuccessful, they won't revamp it again unless we're losing about millions of players.

But I have to say, revamping it again makes it even more worst. (again, of my logic to three rings because of RSS bomb)

Free game for money!

This just sums up the point. OOO makes a game, calls it "free" you get 3 missions in and realize you need to pay money to progress. If its f2p don't be a dick and make it legitamitly impossible to progress in the game. Team Fortress does this as well but its respectful in how it does so; you get achievements and you earn the weapons to progress. The ONLY thing TF2 will make you pay for is accessories, weapons (that you can get through random drops) and anything else in the game. TF2 knows what F2P is. Its not a game that has a story line but at the same time its not a game that will narrow the game play because you need to pay for a F2P game.

My conclusion to OOO is this:
Its already a great game, if you want dedicated players stop narrowing the gameplay for money. You guys already get enough money as it is from your other games, Spiral knights will be just up their ranks if not higher if your marketing system isn't so narrow. Oh and also, you have a CE store with expensive prices already, the gameplay contents should not be so expensive to get or so challenging to grind up to.
