Broken down, the idea he's asking for is a mission of difficulty involving various monsters assailing a more or less stationary party. Every few waves, there is to be a boss. Considering there are limited 'bosses', there can only be a set number of waves. Increasing difficulty would be impractical, considering most players will be all like 'Waaaah! This will never end!!!' while all the more capable players will bristle up their ego and flash off the wave number-record they got everywhere like people probably still do with LD damage points.

Surprise surprise, my 'dead suggestion' involves a stationary party fighting against waves of monsters, before fighting a big boss dude and moving onto the next wave. A more practical addition mine had is an actual ending.

Furthermore, my 'dead suggestion' at least had some substantial thought put into it, and careful and lengthy consideration of balancing points and making adjustments, rather than a 'Durr, i liek my pie stage'.

And FYI, it's only a 'dead suggestion' if it was shot down and deemed totally useless by the majority of it's readers, or at least the ones that have brains to think, or completely irrelevant and impractical to the game.

I still have a Shotgun-type weapon thread stowed away somewhere waiting to be called on if someone posts without searching again. S'been already once. And if I wanted a useless 'dead suggestion', I have a perfect sniper-rifle thread I could make containing me building up and bashing down the idea, after having carefully considered balance, practicality and general reception and deemed it unfit for implementation.

Durr, because those players play to kill. There is no end to the game, because there's not supposed to be. All you do in the game is kill crap till you can kill moar crap.

Spiral knights targets a slightly younger and probably less mature audience, which usually expects there to be a form of 'end' to the game. With Spiral Knights in general, the 'End' constitutes as reaching the Core.

I do so hate it when people try to prove they're worth more than what they're told by dem school bullies. Hm~

why no uv's? it's not pvp so why would it matter? why do people take you looking at something and pointing out faults as you being butthurt? how could this be a krogmo thing? enemies would not go to the surface just to fight just, if we did not come to them they would probably ignore us. so the only explanation is that he clearly has them captured and forcing them to fight. the only way this would work if is we had to defend something/an area. we are not cruel beings so why would we participate in this? do you know what i don't like about this? it's going in with the mindset that there will be no victory, only a prolonged defeat. i don't know about you but i don't like going into something knowing that there is no goal to get to. oh i made it to wave 30, i still lost though.

if you have the freedom to say something we have the freedom to say it is bad.
