Hello, I am an Iron Slug owner and I have some points to make. The damage bar of the Iron Slug is similar to the damage bar length of my Triglav but does not even half the damage. It is just too weak to kill enemies fast enough. On the wiki, it says that the Iron Slug has a slightly longer attack range then the mega magnus (the 4* version) but seems to have the same attack range. The attack speed is also too slow and coupled with the weak damage, it is pretty bad. The charge attack is also weak and it does about the same damage as the first swing of the normal attack of my Triglav. Not only that, all this with not being able to move while shooting and a 2 shot clip makes it soooo bad that I stopped using it. I think that the damage should be increased by a lot and since it doesn't stun like the Callahan, it should do a little bit more damage and attack speed than the Callahan. The attack range should also be increased by a little bit along with the attack and charge attack having a little bit more blast radius of the bullets and all should be good.
Iron Slug
Iron slug is "getting buffed" as it is, though its one of those "We're totally going to do this wink wink" type things that the devs never follow through on- like sleep status and tortodrone, so my advice is to get a new gun.
Right. If you hang around the Arsenal forum for just a little while, someone is bound to mention that Iron Slug is bad.

The displayed statistics bars on weapons are notoriously inaccurate. Do not trust them. For example, Gran Faust's speed bar is much longer than Divine Avenger's, but DA is at least as fast in regular attacks, and much faster in charge attacks.
A bad, normal damage weapon? Who would have thought...
Although, if it wasn't so completely terrible, I would totally use one. They look super cool.
I use that weapon switching method between the iron slug and callahan, it's really effective as 2 - 3 consecutive shots knockdown or lockup (flinch, cancels whatever they are doing) enemies.
...this isn't the suggestions forum.
and now I'll entertain the thread with other facts:
- On neutral enemies, iron slug and callahan do the same damage.
- In the last major gun patch, the punch gun (the spiritual predecessor to the magnus line) was given 2 bullets instead of 1. It was said that the magnus line would deal the correct knockback, noticeably in the charge attack. The punch gun was given a 1.5 (!!!!) tile knockback on regular shots. Magnus line? Doesn't do any knockback with regular hits. What a ... punch to the face!
