Hello, I think the forums should have a faster search bar. For Chrome users like me, if something doesn't load up in time it won't respond to that page.
So, I won't be able to see if someone made a suggestion that I'm about to make.
Make a faster search bar.

Dont blame everything on Drupal. There are some decent sites using it. This one isnt tweaked properly or something.

Wasnae blamin' them, just sayin' that the search isn't just some plugin that can be changed; it's part of Drupal, and changing it would (afaik) require leaving Drupal, which I don't see as likely.

Not only faster but better. Right now when you search for something it will give you dump of all things.

DRUPAL is forum system just like other ones, you can INSTALL EXTENSIONS that improve functionality of forum and make it look like real one. We can have here normal search system, we can have here report buttons, we can have here even shoutbox.
But why we dont have? Because OOO. Thats it.

Every single part of forum can be modified, replaced, tweaked and improved.
That'd involve changing the forums, as I think the search bar is just part of Drupal, and it's been made pretty clear that they're not in a rush to change the forum.
