Saying "Honor" instead of "Honour" hurts my soul. Oh well.
My suggestion is the Honor Alchemy Machine. (You may be able to tell.)

Honor Alchemy Machine
It upgrades Honor gear, with the same recipes as Cobalt, and possibly lets you make more, I don't know.
Instead of being distributed to all players, distribute it to all guilds that exist on the point of the update, use the UV symbol as an icon or something.
This way, we can have the epic golden Levi and those going "wah you're too low level" will be appeased-if we can make it we're probably alright at the game! It's not "We want every piece of exclusive gear!" (Although I want a set of Black Rose... ah well) it's "We couldn't get the optimal piece of exclusive gear even though we logged on at the specific date, now you gave us a sword that will be useless going forward!" Upgrading it solves this problem, and it's functionally no better than a Levi. It just looks like congealed epic.

Making New Items
While an Honor reskin on every item's probably not going to work (If it does, do it please!), why not the whole Cobalt line? I'd love an Honor Guardian costume set. I think the recipes should be as normal (But the recipes themselves are free: see Sullivan, Sanctuary Alchemy Machine), but with one new component... an Honor (Or, if you think Honor's been overused, Valor) Seal. This can only be bought with guild funds, and when bought, a copy is mailed to all members. A reward from an awesome GM for an awesome guild. Maybe make them necessary for all Honor Crafting! 1 for 2*, 2 for 3*, 3 for 4*, 4 for 5*? That'd look cool.

Guild Funded Honor
Pretty simple: you can buy Honor Equipment with guild funds, but it must be authorised by the Guild Master... and you must have donated to the guild to an as of yet unknown threshold (any ideas?) Once it's bought (100,000 for 2*, 150,000 for 3*, so on) the player automatically recieves it with the notification " has granted you the !"

Mission Honor
Again, simple. You know where you get the Cobalt line recipes playing missions? Yeah. Look back to me, they're now Honor recipes. Well done. Or, buy the recipes/items with Prestige.

The Easy Way
Have Basil stock the 3*/4*/5* recipes. They're worthless without an existing one, so...

Featured Auctions
Occasionally add some Blades, Guards and Stands to Featured Auctions?

i would!

i would like to be able to upgrade and have a set that goes with them. cause so far, its just gonna sit ther after im done heating it, i will probably never use it again. what a terrible weapon, just stagnent, never to be completed to its final 5 star mode. if that is gonna be its only purpose, then i may as well just sell it.

What is with the people these days ?! Why should you get everything for free ? Why didn't you reach Vanguard Rank before ? Don't tell me : I didn't know that, OOO should've told us. No they shouldn't do that and they shouldn't let you upgrade it. Why ? Probably you didn't understand it is name and many others didn't, it is called : Honor Blade! Not everyone will have the honor to get that sword, which is rank in our case. If OOO told us about the ceremony thing, there would be no meaning for giving it as a honoring thing. Months later you will see everyone blabbing: Yay I got my Lionheart no one is special now , yay yay yay!!

Can't older players have a special reward for them ? Let me tell you what new players got :

Your new proto sets
You had the chance to change your eyes and height
Alot of buffs and nerfing for monsters for you

Isn't that enough ? Just be glad that you got something atleast, and if you are really in need for Reskinned Levi, then just make a Leviathan Blade! Please, please stop asking for this and just be thankful...

I'm NOT a new player. I was with the start of the steam wave. Maybe you were older than that, but I'm old enough not to tolerate elitism from anyone who can't show me a set of Groundbreaker. I didn't get that stuff either. I was here for the advent of missions, but decided to help others through before myself. I'd tell you to look at the other threads, but even -I- can't expect you to research the whole forum before posting.

I said it before, I'll say it again-WE ARE NOT ASKING TO HAVE IT FOR FREE!!! We're asking to work for it. Where you were before indicates the amount of the new items you get for free. The rest you have to work for, through being a good guild member, getting Prestige, crafting, pick one, they ALL involve work.

You're overgeneralising and demonising us, XXdragneel. We're thankful, we're suggesting improvements we'd like. We're not laughing at you. In fact, we think you're a bit elitist for thinking if one other person getting it it's completely ruined.

I may have been here longer than you, maybe not. But I'm making a reasonable suggestion and I'd prefer for some constructive criticism rather than "NO! DON'T HAVE THIS, YOU DON'T DESERVE IT!"

You did the work before us, sure. But we can get any item in the game apart from Groundbreaker (which I understand) and GM stuff (which I understand). Why limit Honor Blades/Guards, and almost nothing else?

Stop thinking that anyone who didn't get Vanguard within 24 hours of missions is new.

Please, read the whole of the OP and this post before replying, if you have not already. I'm trying to find some help on improving the idea, not a bunch of insults and dismissing it out of hand.

That reasoning baffles me. You helped others do later missions than your own? Why didn't you ask them to hold up for a while and let you catch up to them, so that you can do the missions together and complete them together. Doing others' missions and not your own fails to make sense when they can be completed together.

No one cares whether or not you get it for free; that's entirely besides the point. The fact is that people don't want you having it....at all! Now, before you start tossing out words like "Greedy" and "Selifish", have a read of this post that Ubernerd posted, as I feel he gives a pretty good metaphor for you to mull over.
Work for it or not...it's too late. It's over, done gone. You should have done the missions.

And yes, I'm aware you "did them", but you optionally did them in such a way that you didn't get the credit for them yourself which is....really, really weird, I have to say. You knew full well you weren't getting credited with the mission complete, yet you did it anyways. This isn't anyones fault but yours; nothing was stopping you from catching up before you helped others, or allowing them to catch up to you so that you could all do your missions together.
When I came back from hiatus and the missions were out, I did them in a pair with my girl and we made a point of only doing them when we were together so that we'd get the missions at the same time. We realised very quickly that not doing so didn't give credit, so made sure we did them all together.
You chose not to do this, didn't get Vanguard in time, didn't get the reward. Tough luck, s'gone now. When you reach Vanguard and you get the 5* reward on the next random giveaway I'm sure you'll start to understand where we're coming from~

I was gone for months after all this was released. I never got Vanguard within 24 hours of it being released, and people already had 60k+ pres by the time I even started the missions, but I still had plenty of time to hit 20k+ pres and complete all the missions before this reward came out. It wasn't a short process, you had plenty, plenty, plenty of time. A lot of full-time workers and uni students, and a lot of no-EP players managed to do it in time.

The reward was based 100% on how much of the "story" you had completed, not based on playtime or tier level or player accomplishment. It was based entirely on your mission rank. So it really does come down to "No, you don't deserve it" because you didn't do all the missions. You may not like that reasoning, but that's simply the fact of the matter. Again, let me give you the "Do you complain that you have no Bombheads, despite refusing to ever play LD?" metaphor.

But it doesn't really work. If it was a CR reward, that'd work quite well. But in this instance, the employer is giving you a completely unique item which cannot be created in any manner.

I don't rage about Bombheads, because I know that I CAN get them, so I push them to the back of the list and work on them, along with my PvP recipes, occasionally when I feel like a spot of Blast Network (Lockdown's a spot too imbalanced for my taste, but that's irrelevant).

I've seen people use the "when you're rich you'll understand why we don't want anyone else to be" logic in other games when they offer bad prices while trading. It didn't work then, it doesn't work now. I can sympathise with Ubernerd in a way. We both feel like we're ramming our heads into a brick wall. A shame everyone who tried to convince OOO that we should have upgradable Honor has seen you skip over their points and given up. I'm just hoping you trip up at some point and reply to something I actually try to tell you.

While I'm sure you are thinking the same thing, I'm just picturing that said in such a smug and arrogant voice. You think I'm being entitled and whiny.

If you'd got the 4*, as I have, which side of the argument would you be on, I wonder. Would you be backing the people who said "no" up so much? Or would you be on my side?

It's all human nature really. I'll just reply to the parts that demonise you, and vice-versa.

All you can say is "no, we don't want you to" and all we can say is "we want to". No matter how many reasons we both give, I'm pretty sure we're just percentages on a chart. They'll decide if they want to or not without us. Off the top of my head I can count THREE things that have been implemented from suggestions. I'm not going to hope that this is a fourth. You've already won by default, because nothing I state will get through. "Suggestions"? More like "Wishful Thinking". Halfway through this post I became really depressed by something in my personal life. Sorry.

If I got the 4* I'd want the 5* too don't get me wrong, but I run by logic, not emotion or greed. If someone presented the argument that "it's a reward based on rank, you never reached that rank so you don't get that reward" I'd have not a leg to stand on, regardless of what I want.

It's not about being rich and expecting poor people to understand why they're greedy. This is about having received a reward for accomplishing something that others didn't...and then everyone else wanting it as well. It completely and utterly defeats the point of the reward. If you all just get it as well, there was no point in any of us getting it.

We never "reached vanguard first, so are elitist and deserve better". We reached vanguard at all. You didn't. So you don't get the reward that is given for reaching vanguard.

It is as simple as that.

First of all, I would like to tell you that I wasn't insulting.

So, I see you are saying things that contradict with what you want. You want the Lionheart right ? And for Alchemy price, right ? If that so, why don't you just heck craft the Leviathan Blade and the story ends ?? "I want it for it shape it looks cool" It is meant to be like this and meant to be special, not everything will be available for everyone, and it shouldn't. I, myself, would've liked to be here when the Rose Regalia event was on, but I wasn't, that was my fault, I have no right to beg to bring it back because it is limited and MEANT to be special.

And if you wanted the Lionheart for it damage type and style, then also just craft the Leviathan.

Last word before you graveyard this : There are things that are meant to be special and limited, and they won't ever change because if they did, they would lose their meaning and value.

I don't have any useful suggestions, as I don't feel it should be something that can be acquired via other means. Even for the next event, I wouldn't like to think it'd just be the same thing over again; I'd like to think that the next random giveaway will be something else entirely, something else unique. By that point, you'll be Vanguard and get that. Or it'll be based on prestige, or any number of other things.
It's down to the intention; you're still treating it as "the best" and are losing sight of the fact that it was just a gift, a reward for achieving the rank you did before it was handed out. You're forgetting to appreciate that gift with all this focus on getting the best one. Honestly, I think making it weapons was a mistake, because so few people (below the 5*) seem to actually appreciate the intention behind it and are just worried about teh fact that they want the 5*.

If it was just four completely different...let's say, masks. Costume masks and there was no star rating, I don't think people would be all fussed about "upgrading" it, and would just be like "Oh, cool I got a sweet new Mask for reaching Knight". Everyone'd be happy.

Hopefully the next event will be as such.

Juances, those were stuck up on Featured a little while back. Wouldn't be surprised if they came again.

Although I agree with the general idea Shadow is putting forward here, I do have to point out that it's entirely unlikely, for the reasons these two have stated.

Mind doing me a favour you two? Don't post anymore on this thread counterpointing; your point is made, if Shadow doesn't get it, I can explain it to him. I'm doing this because I appreciate the fact he's being nice about this whole thing, and I don't think he should, even subtly/accidentally, get bashed.

I didn't bash him, at beginning I bashed the ragers that wanted these honor gear, but I was just telling him why they shouldn't be able to get it in anyways; Alchemy or free doesn't matter. I know he is polite and not an idiot person posting in the forums, but still, I just want to convince him that his idea won't work logically, that's all I wanted to say.

Ok let me tell you each one

Ok let me tell you each one of those wasn't brought back again.

1. Groundbreaker Set

This set was made to reward the people who were in the Preview event as a sign of thanks and honour for them. Thus, none after the preview event should get it because it will Demolish it's meaning.

2. Pumpkin Bandolier

This accessory were given in Halloween last year ( I got one and removed it, didn't know it will be that rare. ) It shouldn't be given again because again it will Demolish it's meaning.

No, not all of exclusives came to featured, do you see Divine and Shadow Wings on Featured, I think probably not. Not sure about this, but Rose Regalia sets weren't featured to KEEP them rare.

In the end, all of the things you listed are accessories except the Groundbreaker which is completely useless and is used as a costume I guess. You are saying you don't know why you want it, there have to be a reason, if there is no reason, no one in this life would've done or accomplished anything. So, I will say it back again, if you want it for damage and style, go craft Leviathan Blade; but if you say you wanted it for free, that means you are a begger, which I don't think so. And, if you wanted it for its shape, then with all sadness, there are and there won't be anyway to get it because it is Exclusive. It is meant to reward the people who did all the missions or some of them, don't think that you will get rewards while you are spire with 400 prestige. I know they are not important, but there are people including me who worked hard to reach the Vanguard Rank and to reach the 45k prestige "Pony Badge". If you just make it available for everyone, the "hardworkers" will feel bad, because OOO isn't giving them a reward for supporting the game, either with Playing or Paying. That's all I wanted to say.

While I'm not a Squire, (I got the 4*) I see the point you're making. I don't WANT Groundbreaker recirculated. I do want everyone else to get a chance at pumpkin, but that's beside the point.

If you think that anyone who was there at the time being able to get a Lionheart will demolish it's meaning, that's a little shallow. You can use it as a reminder, we can use it as a shinyyyyyyy look at the pretty colours o.o Sorry about that, just looked at a picture.

You're the one who got it. I just ask that instead of mocking, (in case you are, it's hard to read emotion over the internet, if you aren't disregard) you consider it from our point of view.

In any case Dragneel, Shadow said beforehand that he gets why GB armour isn't made available.

Regarding other 'exclusives', I'm pretty sure some Regalias came back.

Also, Spiral and PAX bombheads.

Not really. I can understand that point of view. It's like getting a certificate saying you were 'this far' in the game when this update came out. You have a shiny new-skinned sword only a set number of people will have. There's it's value.

If, however, everyone else gets one, it reduces that novelty value, the value of it being 'rare', in a sense and the feeling of it being special in some way. A totally understandable outcome.

Maybe in another big update down the road they might hand out the gun and/or bomb reskinned from the Cobalt set the same way they gave out the sword and shield this time. An update that might have a bunch of equipment rebalancing, new missions, or new stuff to fight. Maybe all of those. After a dozen or so cosmetic promos, of course. Because those are important and provide solid content.

Does anyone else think guns and bombs go well together? Ballistic bruiser? I play Rogue on Wakfu too much?

I recently tried to make my own honor versions of the Nitronome and Valiance using Photoshop and Spiral Spy, only to (stupidly) realise that honor equipment uses 256x256 textures and the Nitronome and Valiance use 128x128 textures. Anyone know how to re-map the old models to use larger textures?

That is known, Shadow. So not everyone as of yet, but considering the number of players who would have logged on during this update, I'm sure 'everyone' is a fairly close approximation.

Although upgrading would be a preferable option as opposed to getting it. Deters freeloads and whatnot, or whatever you'd want to call them.

Freeloaders sounds cool.
