Okay... Let's go into FFXIII
My favorite character would be Sazh.
He is an only father who raised his son by his own, his son turned into the enemy of the society and was taken away by the government. He tried to help to save his son but instead got turned into a l'cie, the main enemy of his society.
He lost his son, tricked by the person who he tries to protect, found out that the person he tries to protect was the one who made his son into a l'cie. Despite that he still fight and won't give up. He is very realistic and respond to things maturely.
