Does it work?
The combination of voltedge with electron vortex does work fine for me but got bored so thinking of changing to glacius so does it still work? That vortex grab all those zombie in fsc and glacius one hit KO?
Or does it work's even better with combuster? :D

Well

You don't really use shock and shock.

Shock, stun, freeze are examples of stalling statuses as I call them. You use these to make a quick escape.

Fire, poison and curse are examples of damage statuses as I call them. You use these to deal passive damage to the enemy

So a Combuster will work the best here for me but honestly A faust line will work even better (I've been trolled in tier 2 LD with curse and shock on me boy it's annoying)

adding to that

In FSC (well i Haven't played it yet but its surprising how quick I catch up by watching videos and doing in mind experiments) all monsters are immune to fire and curse(except for the tiny amount of jellies and puppies) so for this one use the Glacius the freeze i like using against trojans they won't turnn then you just charge spam at their back. But honestly get DA but it will need a CTR med and ASI med at least for awsome results!

it works great with combuster or voltedge, maybe not so much with glacius but it's better than nothing

not Gran Faust

I've tried charging Brandishes into my own vortices, but I don't have any great advice. You have more flexbility if your Brandish has some CTR. Let me just address two points raised by Hawxindanite:

If you do get Faust, you'll probably (but not definitely) want to upgrade to Gran Faust, and then the charge time is really slow --- much too slow to charge into your own vortex.

Although the monsters in FSC are largely immune to fire (the trojans aren't), Combuster still does a ton of damage there --- just not status. Combuster is a highly effective weapon in FSC.

Damage wise brandishes are the same. So if voltedge works, the others will too. If you're alone, status wont matter, enemies will die quickly.

Voltedge is the best sword with EV

Voltedge>>>Combuster>Glacius

You and the EV would annoy when someone uses the charge of Combuster or Glacius before the EV starts sucking. As Combuster does a huge knock back like DA and pushes monsters away from the point where you dropped the EV, and some monsters wouldn't be sucked into it. Also freeze status interrupts the suck of EV/GV which Glacius deals, hence many EV lovers are not the fan of Shiver.

So what's left? Voltedge, not much knock back, but doesn't interrupt the suck of EV. And don't forget the property of shock staus -- "when the victim receives damage from shock, everything in a small radius around the target will also be hit." -- A small radius? that's pretty much the same as the radius of EV isn't it?

Well, even though Voltedge is the best sword with EV, I would say that Glacius still works with EV but not as effective as Voltedge does.

Well, from personal

Well, from personal experience, this combination works great in arenas against large clumps of mecha knights. The freeze from Glacius eliminates the knockback from the electron vortex (In the event it does not shock). In FSC I haven't tested it much though, since I only have two weapon slots and I need that blitz somewhere! The few times I have used it, I've found it works fine, and I think that when you solo it can kill zombies in one combo, but not sure.
