Acheron: shadow damage
Acheron: shadow damage (useless outside of JK, which can be done with any weapon, and OCH, which is what you do once or twice), no status effect
Voltedge: elemental damage (good vs anything but beasts and gremlins, good vs constructs), shock status effect (huge bonus for LD)
Acheron line of recipes - Hall of Heroes
Voltedge line of recipes - LD coins only, bound to character who makes a purchase. Can only be made by playing LOTS of lockdown games, or bought from someone else.
Voltedge is on a completely different level compared to Acheron. I sold my Acheron a long time ago (before brandish upgrade, Levi was good enough).
I may be interested in a CTR'ed Acheron at some point, but I certainly won't pay more than 8k ce for it. It has a very limited area of use, IMO.

It's matter of play style,
It's matter of play style, any serious Tier 3 solo-er will take specialized swords for maximum damage and fast level cleaning. Yes, Voltedge's recipes are harder to get (all OOO's fault) but that doesn't make it better than Acheron. If you ask me, Combuster is way better than Voltedge.

I'm a veteran t3 soloer. I'll take DA+Levi to any level (except for, maybe, pure fiend levels, where toothpick does a better job, but with 4 weapon slots I carry DA just for ghosts and zombies). Acheron and Combuster have very limited area of usage (combuster - Ice Queen only, acheron - Jelly King, Ice Queen, Operation Crimson Hammer DLC).
Besides, most money currently goes into Lockdown (shock max armors to deal with shock status effect), not Arcade (you can do any boss run with mission system, skipping any extra levels, making "clearing T3 levels" seem like an old story... and we only have a single repeatable T3 boss - Vanaduke, where Acheron won't do much).
I predict it will be hard to sell Acheron at 26k ce price. Unless someone wants to try it in LD (GF ASI VH > Acheron CTR VH, and its cheaper).

Also while I would agree with you about Acheron and Combuster being amazing swords, Volty's managed to get itself such a fanclub that the other two's prices have been kind of depressed. Best of luck selling it though! I'd totally buy it and replace my CTR meds if I had that kind of money ;D
