King Krogmo’s Coliseum Tournaments option

There needs to be a feature in the King Krogmo’s Coliseum UI that allows players to create Lockdown and Blast Network tournaments. The bracket style tournament setup would be really simple. Each Team or guild would be issued a different color upon entering the tournament lobby. The tournament host team or guild would pay the startup fee to set up the tournament. The competing teams or guilds would pay an entrance fee. After King Krogmo collects his facilitator fee the prize would be awarded to the top tournament teams or guilds.

Type of Tournament: Team or Guild

Number of Teams or Guilds: 4, 6, 8, 12

Type of rounds: best of 3, 5, 7

Time per round: 5, 10, 15 minutes

Type of Map: random, ice, fire, ect..

Also, I feel like Spiral Knights Dev team should be involved and sponsor a lockdown or Blast Network tournament. This tournament should be a recurring event which prize such as slot upgrades, coin boosters, heat amplifier, mist tanks, keys and maybe even Elevator passes can be awarded to the top teams or guilds. Just a thought, thanks for listening!

A true tournament is immpossible, considering time zones, language, etc. It would be unfair if only a select small group is abel to play it. Unless of course, OOO has the resoruces to simultanously maintain multiple tournaments around the world.

No not impossible

No not impossible, just like players would create tournaments using this feature in the Coliseum UI that would be available to enter in all instances until all spots are filled, SK Dev. team could create multiple official tournaments and broadcast them over all instances for X amount of days giving everyone the opportunity to enter them.

maybe later

Balance the game before you make it competitive. Otherwise, no one has fun.

@Klipik

I Agree! But I see no harm in customizable structured PVP.
