Does any one else feel that the forum search engine is inadequate? I can't find the same post in two days using the same keywords. Maybe that's a memory fault, but still, I have the hardest time digging up relevant posts.

I have no idea how hard it would be to implement such a thing on the existing website without massive hemorrhage of the current system and players freaking out. I have been a part of forums in the past that have migrated to new systems, but never on the inside.

I don't think this is a OOO problem, I think it is a Drupal problem. Don't ask me though. Otherwise, if you search a topic followed by "spiral knights forums" on Google, it usually works out alot better.

I'm pretty sure Klipik is right. Drupal's functionality is clearly very limited just by the fact that we have to program our own messages using HTML.

Unless they use a different language, I don't think Drupal is going to do much more for them.

On the other hand, they might be able to program in a Google Search Bar that searches for threads. Not sure how possible that is either, but yeah...

Drupal search is ridiculously slow...

"Drupal search is ridiculously slow..."

Sometimes it goes nowhere.

It's a Drupal problem. If OOO would invest in some better software, instead of going with the free version, this wouldn't be a problem. Until then, do a google search with your topic followed by [site:forums.spiralknights.com]

i.e. "search [forums.spiralknights.com]"

This is NOT DRUPAL problem,

This is NOT DRUPAL problem, stop giving OOO excuses for lack of forum improvments. DRUPAL just like other CMP system has limited functionality in basic form its distributed BUT it can be expanded and improved with additional features. You add those features with "MODULES". One of Modules is already installed and its this bulletin board (or rather BB wannabe). But modules not only can contain single features (basic forum, improved forum, improved search, images, signatures, anything you want) but also can be bridges between DRUPAL CMP site and some advanced Bulletin Board system like SMF or phpBB3 where those are much more advanced than this.

But whats the problem?

Its just that SOMEONE HAS to do it, and noticing that with release of OOO new game Doctor Who they again went into this terrible plain and MODULE-less Drupal just shows they dont care about forum. Bah, sometimes i think they would gladly shut it down or make some kind of "error" and then just pretend "uh oh we are working on it" and be happy that they got rid of public opinion from players on forum and noone will ever comment on their movements of "questionable righteousness".

I love how you can use Google

I love how you can use Google to get specific threads in this forum quicker than the in-house search engine.

http error 504 is all I have to say about the search bar.
We really need something done about this.
