Description: A bomb designed to be a trap meant to lead foes into its destruction.

Visual Description: This bomb looks like a pipe bomb, being tall and slender with a spike at its base used for sticking it into the ground. It has a small bulge at the top that houses the potent blast media.

Function/Stats: This bomb begins at the 2* level and extends to 5*. This bomb has no initial charge time for immediate deployment. Up to 3 bombs can be placed at a time that will stay active for 90 seconds. When the player has laid 1-3 bombs and wishes to detonate they must hold the attack button for 2.5 seconds after which the bombs detonate immediately. All *'s of this bomb have a radius of 2 squares, bombs can be overlapped or spread out. At stratum 6 each individual bomb will be doing 110-150 damage. This bomb is intended for normal damage with damage stacking if bombs are stacked. Speed while charging is normal walking speed. Knockback is minimal with foes being pushed 1 square back.

2* Snare Bomb
3* Snare Blast
4* Volatile Gin
5* Baneful Gin
....................................................................................

Description: A particle bomb, much like fragmentation bomb, that deals a high impact short range burst intended for the mad bomber in all of us.

Visual Description: A bomb that resembles a round closed pine cone. As the * increases an additional bomb is stacked on top for added power. One bomb at 2* with the visual appearance of 4 bombs stacked on each other at 5*.

Function/Stats: This bomb begins at the 2* level and extends to 5*. This bomb has a 1.5 second charge and a 1.5 second fuse. Walking speed while charging is reduced to that of the walking charge speed of a vortex bomb. Bomb radius is 2 squares for 2*-5* with damage in stratum 6 ranging from 420-460. The explosion looks similar to the DBB with the exception of not blasting upwards, only outwards. There is no knock back but there is a strong chance of knockdown on impact. This is a normal damage bomb.

2* Particle Burst
3* Particle Blast
4* Calamitous Particle Blast
5* Cataclysmic Particle Nuke

....................................................................................

Lastly I propose a regular attack for all bombs that has a 2 square radius for 4* and 5* bombs and a radius of 1.5 squares for 2* and 3* bombs. the regular attack will do 55% of the damage of the charge attack. Regular attacks will be regulated with a 2 second cool down (although I feel if guns and swords can be spammed with normal attacks why not bombs) this is to reduce complaints of spamm. This is an Idea that still leaves the bomber outclassed so hope fully it will be considered for implementation.

I don't really have anything to say about the two bombs. Adding normal attacks is a no-go for me though. The way I see it, guns need to reload, swords get combos that increase damage, and bombs only have charge attacks. Giving bombs normal attacks would essentially make them bad versions of swords and guns, in my opinion.

@Oat I'm not to big on it

@Oat I'm not to big on it either but have heard it asked for and feel it could really help in LD so I thought I would throw an underclassed Idea for it out there. What I really want though is the second bomb described , a small radius heavy hitter that can be used in the solo bombers loadout for single enemy damage. I was really hoping that was what we were getting in the recent shard revamp but unfortunately it didn't turn out that way.

Charge is Good

How about it has an only charge attack like normal bombs, but it places 3 snare bombs in a triangle format?

@Neonguard

That kinda makes it no longer a snare. The idea is that you place them where you want and the lead enemies into them while charging the detonator.

@Akvar

Oh ok I didn't read the whole section :(. What I thought you were talking about was a landmine sort of thing that would explode when stepped on.

Nice bombs, Akvar. And nice pics, Stevo. I'd definitely use that remote bomb for some serious trapping... it's demotastic!

+1 to this.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

Caaaooooool.....

Me like!

Also, I have some ideas. If anyone has been thinking about LD, why not hide the blast radius for enemies? That would make bombs much more powerful, in a sense, because they won't know exactly how far to run or how long the bomb has till blowing up. They'll be more apt to running away rather then skipping in and out of bomb blasts.

@Qwez Interesting, they are

@Qwez Interesting, they are similar but I do like what I have presented better and yes I am biased.

@Doctor Thank you for the support, something is needed after the last fails bombs that were made.

@Auto I couldn't agree more, I have been pushing that idea since the shard bomb change announcement.
