Can't run Spiral Knights from Steam (Retina MacBook Pro)

I recently purchased a Retina MacBook Pro and I tried running Spiral Knights on it.

1. I downloaded/installed Spiral Knights through Steam

2. Whenever I try to launch Spiral Knights through Steam, the app icon appears in the Dock, but immediately disappears a fraction of a second later and never actually launches the app, thus I am unable to play Spiral Knights.

My question to you guys is why does this happen? Spiral Knights ran perfectly fine on previous computers. :/

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Spiral Knights on Steam multiple times and the same problem happens.
The problem exists whether or not the firewall is turned on.
My internet connection speeds are fine and reliable, so the internet can't be the deciding factor.
Everything on my MacBook is up-to-date, including the Java Runtime Environment if it makes a difference.
I have plenty of resources available, I'm not running out of hard drive space or anything of the sort.

I don't know how to interpret messages in the Console report log, but upon trying to launch Spiral Knights through Steam, these messages appear in the Console:
