I can't find a post I wrote on this earlier for some reason....

Anyway, instead of players waiting 5-10 minutes for a match, if someone were to drop out of a current match please allow someone to enter and fight for the team? I understand the crown payout is slightly higher if that team were to win, but it's very difficult for the underdog team to win be it 3v4 or 5v6. (Barring very strong team imbalance).

If you feel it'd be unfair that they would get the reward for only playing a partial match, perhaps either deny them the crown payout or the krog coin.. or even the bribe? (You could even make the ability to join a partial game optional in settings). After a while the majority of the people that have reached end game do LD for fun and aren't out for a reward anyway.

Another suggestion - If 2 were to leave the same team, leave an option for a player on the opposing side to swap teams? Every time the other team goes down 1 i relax, if they go down 2 it's really not worth the time playing. Power clones with faster connection speed then myself will soak up all the kills at their base, and the rest of us end up just walking back and forth between points cleaning up the scraps... if that.

Hi Blueflood.

I've won games when we were 2 men down, but the team imbalance was so ridiculous I still felt sorry for the other team.

I've also played games where we were 2 men down AND had much better players than the other team, and still lost. Only in really serious imbalance instances can a team with 2 men down win. It's amazing how effective people who do 2k damage are - even though they're not good. Any extra body can cap a control point.

I like the idea of replacing team members, but the denying of payouts I don't agree with. If a replaced team member is the only reason Team X won, and Team X's original members get extra crowns for losing a team member initially, how fair is that to the newest member?

The Krogmo coins would be a good idea since most people don't play for them anyway, but some people do. Having an option to turn it on or off would work for this, but really...few people would *want* to play in a partial game (though they probably wouldn't mind if they did, they'd prefer to have a new game), so the option to turn it on or off would kill the point in it.

The Bribe would be the best to cancel, except there's not a guarantee of a bribe happening.

Maybe a different solution would be better. For instance, if a player joins a game with under, say for example, 3 minutes left, then he wouldn't get Rank Points, Crowns, Bribes, etc. If a player joins a game to replace a person with more than 3 minutes (Could even be 5), he would get the reward.

I don't think anyone would want to swap teams...I guess it could be an option..

What about the cost of joining LD? 200cr for nothing..
What if people leave because they know the match is already lost?
There should be some safeguards, like check how much time left or the score difference (this also applies to team swapping)

-Yeah, they could probably avoid joining a match that would end before their load time by referencing to the current matches being played. Perhaps in order to do this you'd have to be observing the game - then just click like "Join Red Team" if someone goes out. Might also be fun to impliment say - if you're doing 6v6 Guild match and you have 10 guildies on that want to play. An option to spawn in place of a team mate when they die. That's kinda taking it a bit further then it needs to go perhaps.

I honestly don't know what a happy medium would be regarding the payout. I was just trying to avoid like, joining a game with 30 seconds left to victor and still getting the full payout. I'd be ok with no payout personally. The resell value of the Mod Caliburs or Enamarocks isnt the most profitable thing in the world - LD is mainly fun for myself and most end gamers.

Yeah, I agree with you, I wouldn't mind not getting any payout either for a 1 minute game.

Just for the people who are actually hunting KCs would have their time wasted.
