Hello.
Since I play a lot with the Solid Cobalt set, I was wondering something:
"Are the Cobalt and his alchemy line really worthing something?".
I just have the feeling that those weapons are almost completly forgotten, and since it's my faourite set, it would be kinda bad for any fan of this set (including me) to learn it's useless.
I hope the discussion on this topic will be interesting ( be honest in your opinion please).

Their main value is that they're cheap and their 2* versions (and following recipes) come for free. As such, they are probably the first 2* items you will get, unless you had the Honour kit. Otherwise, they're outdone by the specialist gunslinger and sword-user armours, both of which get status resistance at 5* (Wolver gets it right from the start) and weapon bonuses (damage bonus for Wolver, ASI for Gunslinger) in exchange for a nominal amount of defence which is barely enough to be noticed. The shield suffers likewise, being outdone by the Bristling Buckler line for sword-users (which also loses a nominal amount of defence in exchange for a sword damage bonus); however, it does still make an okay option for gunners and bombers who want a cheap defensive pierce shield to use.
The weapons, though, are fairly useful; Nitronome is an excellent pure-damage bomb, if not a very party-friendly one, and Valiance is often favoured in PvP for its fast bullets and interrupting power, making a decent all-round sidearm. The Leviathan Blade is also a pretty decent sword for bombers as a way to finish off melee-range enemies quickly, and has a charge that is useful for OHKOing turrets, pushing enemies away and generally annoying the hell out of your teammates. They're not particularly popular weapons, though, due to the fact that a) most people prefer specialist damage in most PvE circumstances and b) pure bombers are fairly uncommon.
Oh yeah, one more thing; the Cobalt line can eventually be upgraded into Almirian Crusader and Azure Guardian. Both of these suck (shadow defence with fire weakness and curse resist, or pierce defence with no resist), but they look good as costume armour!

I disagree, the only normal
I disagree, the only normal weapons I think are useful are DVS, Nitronome, and Sudaruska. Valiance is pretty much outclassed by supernova, and guns generally are more useful as elemental anyway.
The only advantage of the Cobalt armor and Defender is price: you don't have to pay for the recipes. If you like the way it looks, you're better off using it as a costume and wearing something more effective underneath. The weapons are decent, but outclassed in most situations by specialized gear.
