Steam is annoying, makes the game lag (Main - steam VS alt - non-steam, main 3% loading alt fully loaded)
Steam sometimes randomly screws up, showing me to be offline even if I had active Internet connection and able to browse websites etc.
Steam takes up RAM, 80,000k+ and I only have 2GB, compared to Window's own processes it's huge, and I have to have it running in order to play with my main. (DUH!)

Yes it is safer to use, but I never tell my pw to any1 anyways.
Yes the trading interface is buggy but good, but my alt can use steam instead.

Soooo... is it possible to unbind from steam... since it is to bind an account TO steam.

NOPE.

Well, you can bind steam to facebook, but that brings some unwanted side effects.

Lately i have been thinking similar thoughts. i had wondered if i can just use my "steam id" number and sign in through a regular SK
has not tried yet. will edit post if i try and it works

I actually had my account somewhat unsteamed actually. they just transfered my knight and ce to another account but it worked for me. Just mail one of the support people. I don't think that they would do this for everyone though.

You know most computer are set to focus on the window you are currently on so if you had the non-Steam window selected it would load faster.
