Get Shockburst Series or Electron Series?

Right now, I have the Electron Charge, in which I already spent 50 coins.
Right now, I'm near 100 coins, so I was wondering if I should get a recipe for its 4* upgrade, or get my very first elemental (and first brandish) brandish.
I already have faust and avenger, so I'm not sure if getting a Nightblade or any other elemental brandish would be a good idea, but if I had to get one, I think Shockburst would be decent for T2 LD, which I often play.

As for my bombs, I'm thinking of getting all 3* version of the mist bomb series. I plan to max the freeze one first, so I already have an atomizer for that.
I do plan on crafting a Haze Mk II, but it's not urgent (I think lightning capacitor is better than haze in LD, but that's just my opinion).
I also have the 3* of the lightning capacitor series. I do plan on getting fire and poison, but perhaps I'll get those after I craft my first 5* equips.
I also have a graviton charge, in which I may upgrade to 4* since I have the recipe for it, but the only short term benefit I see for it is JK runs, nothing more.

So based on my current gear, what would you suggest I get? (I'm almost close to getting all 4*. I just need 4* gear, but before that I may get a silversix first)

get the 4*, buy a shockburst brandish on AH (if you don't mind no chance of uv)

brandishes vs. sealed sword lines is mostly a matter of preference but you should try one to see if you like using them better.

and yeah I tried Haze Mk II, doesn't help that much due to its small radius although people tend to avoid it less.

how can you even compare

how can you even compare these? One is a sword with a wave-type charge attack, the other is a bomb that pulls enemies in. Apples to oranges.

BTW EV is probably the most useful bomb in the game. I say go for it.

Electron Vortex

I agree that it's an apples-to-oranges comparison. Here's all I can say: An elemental sword is more useful than a vortex bomb. This suggests that you should work toward Voltedge. But you already have an elemental sword. And of the two vortex bombs, Electon Vortex is slightly better than Graviton Vortex. So go for Electron Vortex. Just don't expect it to be great until it's 5-star.

You already have an elemental sword, so you're not in urgent need of another one. In contrast, EV is one of the most useful bombs in the game; it can pull enemies together quite neatly and set monsters up for a whole load of pain when combined with:

Brandish charges
Autogun charges
Antigua charges
Alchemer charges
Shard Bombs
Sealed charges
Calibur-like charges
Hammer charges
Troika charges
Flourish charges
Catalyser charges
Voltaic Tempest

If you're with a reasonably cooperative party, they will kiss you for bringing this thing along. Or at least if I was with you and you brought this along into any kind of level where more cooperation than 'kill stuff quickly' is required, then I would kiss you.

....and even then, vortexes still work nicely.

Not to mention that vortexes can be reasonably used as dps bombs in their own right, even without someone comboing on top of it, so vortexes are both dps and utility. Brandishes aren't much more than pure damage with some status thrown in.
