This may been a stupid question... but will the homecoming sword and shield (e.g. Lion Heart Honour Blade) ever become available again? I was really close to becoming Vanguard at the time but just missed out on the 5 Star Items. If not; can these items be unbound or sold?

We are not employees of Three Rings, so we have no idea. (Unless an employee jumps into this thread --- but I doubt that Three Rings has even decided whether they will ever be available again.)
They cannot be unbound or sold. So you can't get one, sorry.
Your one consolation is that they're not really good items. They're just Leviathan Blade and Aegis with different decoration.
