some ideas

You're right that high-knockback weapons can disrupt a party. The most notorious ones are Leviathan (Calibur), Nitronome, and Polaris. Some other offenders are Warmaster Rocket Hammer, Sudaruska/Triglav charges, Divine Avenger charges, Brandish-line charges. And Supernova? Some of the lowest-knockback weapons are Cutter-line swords, Antigua-line guns, alchemers, haze-style bombs, Dark Briar Barrage, Dark Retribution.

Freeze is another way to disrupt your party. Freeze really helps in some situations, but it also hinders kiting, knockback, shield-bumping, etc. So many experienced players use it sparingly. I mean, dropping Shivermist Busters everywhere often makes you unpopular. Shock can also be disruptive, but not nearly as much as freeze.

Ash of Agni (except on oilers), Venom Veiler, and Stagger Storm are extremely party-friendly weapons, in that they do not knock back or alter the monsters' behavior, but just make them wounded, weak, or slow. Also, your teammates get to do most of the killing, which they probably like.

Obviously, if you go for

Obviously, if you go for maximal party friendly, every sword is going to be out because they all do some knockback. Here is the list of very party friendly weapons on the top of my head :
- most haze bombs : Voltaic Tempest (shock), Ash of Agni (fire), Venom Veiler (poison). I'm going to leave out Shivermist and Stagger Storm because they can be detrimental (more notes on status at the end).
- dark briar barrage and dark retribution, both good damage bombs
- all alchemers (save Hail, because the freeze can be annoying) : they are any gunner weapon of choice, and don't disrupt mobs positionning.
- [edited] Blitz Needle for awesome damage, but dangerous to use
- antigua lines, which makes very good side-arms
- callahan and biohazard, though I wouldn't advise those to everyone

So, a note on status : they are not all equal for party friendly, no matter what weapon they come from :
- Fire is good have absolutely no detriment, unless someone is trying to freeze mobs (but then, anything break freeze in the first place)
- Poison isn't very effective, but have absolutely no detriment either. It won't break freeze either
- Shock is mixed : on one hand it does good damage and is useful, on the other hand it will makes mob movements a little more erratic, and will change some attacks (for example, a shocked zombie will jump in place). Overall, I still consider it team-friendly
- Stun slow mobs attack : while it may help beginners, it means experienced players used to dodge/shield at specific timing will have to change their behavior all of a sudden. Combined with the fact that it does absolutely no damage, and it isn't THAT useful and can be detrimental sometime. On another note, it makes some mobs totally harmless. I don't use it enough to know which ones though
- Freeze is a status I don't like (unless on Vanaduke) : it freezes mobs in place, preventing ANY sort of knockback, from a shield bump to the knockback from a sword (for heavy swords, you don't knockback = you take the attack in the face). It doesn't do any damage most of the time either because everyone rush on frozen mobs before it thaws. Overall I don't really recommend it except a few use cases : Vanaduke, some big enemies (trojans and slag guards), very dangerous enemies (devilites) or ones who moves a lot (kats, greavers).

If you want a sword, most are not as bad as Calibur :
- any piercing sword is ok, they are actually very good to deal with piercing-weak enemies
- brandish will push mobs in one direction, so unless you aim the charge at a teammate, it's going to be fine

I think I covered most of it, ask more specific question to have more specific answers ;)

It depends on how you use them and party tactics.

Even a Polarais can be friendly if each player focus on a different group of enemeis.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

...nobody talked about the vortex bombs... I am disappointed ._.

They are the most party-friendly weapons, setting up enemies in a nice little bunch for your friends to launch attacks into their faces. Guaranteed to work brilliantly with 95% of weapons!*

*Winmillion not included.

I won't classify the vortex

I won't classify the vortex bomb as "most party-friendly weapons" for a number of reasons. Sure, they do awesome combos, but you just can't use them blindly, and it's a good way to be harmful to an unprepared party :
- it moves mobs. A LOT. Which means that it's hard to predict where attacks will land when trying to get up close to get a swing/charge in (I've been hit a number of times doing just that).
- it can trap players in : if you are in when it trigger and there are enough mobs, you are trapped in the mobs. And you won't get out easily.
- even if you are not trapped, it does a wall of mob you can't go through by shieldbumping. Though not as bad, it can still be a problem at times.
- it actually hinder the killing of shielded enemies (trojans and gremlins are the best examples).

So yeah, if you do that with a prepared party, it's fun, and can sometime be faster (not always, because it takes time to set up a vortex). But otherwise, just no.

Pepperbox? Biohazard? Really Fradow?

So you decide to rule out all swords because they have some level of knockback, but you keep two charge orientated guns that have loads of disruptive knockback on the charge attacks? Any good pepperbox or biohazard user will use the the charge attack. A LOT. Especially the catalyzer lines; they're rubbish without the charge attacks.

P.S. you forgot about the normal typed catalyzer, the neutralizer.

Edit: I only realised now that I copied you in one of your posts. I didn't mean to mock you.

Good catch. I don't actually

Good catch. I don't actually use myself a Pepperbox (though it's definitely on my list of things to do), so I totally forgot about the knockback on the charge. I edited it out.

As for Biohazard, as I said, I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. Also, if you want to have a chance to do some damage before mobs are killed, you are going to use the normal shots, which are btw not rubbish : they have actually a good dps. Main problem being how slow they are. VS a single target, I'm not even sure using the charge is going to increase your dps. Well, anyway I won't advise it. It makes for some fun runs, but it's outclassed by umbra in most if not all situations.

I don't forgot the neutralizer : I just won't advise it, like Iron Slug, because they are pretty much outclassed by mostly everything.

Actually no weapon is non-party friendly

You just have to coordinate (I really love to bottle neck with my blaster lines) KB weapons, blasters and pulsars in particular can be used to KB a lumber, for example, away from a party member who's on balf a heart.

Nitronome could be used for bottlenecking in toght places, just tell your teammates to stay back.

Calibur charge spam is something I highly discourage since it is hard to conteol where those mobs will go.

That's all I got for now.
