And the thing is so freaking fun ^_^ I just felt I'dd talk about it, I love how the swing of it works and the abilty to dash forward, it with that alone makes it a effective gap closer and dodging tool when your shield is down. evidently I haven't used the bomb that comes with it xD.
My only complaint about it that it does elemental dmg even tho it causes no form of element base status effect, sure its a "rocket" hammer so I guess its fire powered and all, but I still don't see why it couldn't have just been normal damage.

Statuses are not elements.

strange priorities

I'm so glad that it's not normal damage. I would rather have specialized damage weapons, that I can mix and match to deliver huge amounts of damage to all monsters, than a bunch of normal damage weapons, delivering moderate amounts of damage to all monsters.

Yep, the rocket hammers are fun. They take a while to master. The game designers have done a really good job in making different weapons feel really different.

I think someone needs a lesson on how damage and statuses works.

Although I disagree with your reasoning, yes, it doesn't make much sense for the rocket hammer to be pure elemental. Regardless of what is driving the force of the weapon, at the end of the day you're just bashing somebody with the handle or head of the weapon.

Would make much more sense for something like Divine Avenger to be pure elemental, as it looks like an energy blade, with a slender sword in the core.

The second attack's forward movement is fun to play around with though.

Just want to point out, the swings make explosions on hit.
There's your elemental damage.

@Warriorrogue
So they do. I stand corrected.
