the idea is a level type in which you must shoot arrows attached to a string to lower platforms. standing on a certain spot where a bow and arrow have been left behind by some unknown wanderer then aiming with the keys or mouse and firing, since the arrow is attached to a string, when you miss you can simply rope the arrow in and retry to hit your bullseye shaped target. you travel along the rooftops using theese to jump from one building to the next with a choice of which way to go and for each player in the party there could be a zipwire per player, when going solo the other 3 spots would be missing the bow. the way of shooting an arrow is by using the keys or mouse to change facing direction, then using the attack to charge a shot just right to hit your target, trying not too overshoot or fall short.
chossing which way to go relies upon the entire party to stand on a row of zipwires, just like standing on those party buttons. each row would lead to different rooftops.
if theese arent included in their own level, i see no reason not too have them here and there in other city based levels. but either way works, and both are up for debate. another thought is that like keys, you must carry an arrow to your bow from another area.

uncertain myself, but i would like to know what people would say to this.

The idea itself is alright,

The idea itself is alright, but a lot more detail and work needs to be put into this before it would be considered as "worthy" of ingame implementation.

#1 New rigging and animation process
#2 How do we deal with choosing the correct paths? Is there a treasure if the party chose the correct paths?

paths will basically be

paths will basically be choices like health or treasure, or enemies if you picked another path. choosing a "correct path" isnt exactly what its about, there is no correct way making it a decisive implement to the game.
what have i missed?- could have flat and normal shaped rooftops, extra variety. arrows that are collected from elsewhere are along the same set of rooftops (joined buildings) maybe have spiral stairs in towers leading upwards to another bow spot to prevent just paths just going down all the time.
@hexzyle - agreeing to the fact it needs work so what have i missed?

Forget about bows and arrows, use pot/vial mechanic and animation.
Transform the projectile into.... a magnet that sticks to whatever it hits?

Easier to do and more 'technological'.
Besides... can an arrow penetrate concrete, enough to form a zip line? Are structures made of jelly?

magnetic arrows sound good.

how about a magnetically tipped arrow, or the arrow penetrates the target slightly then becomes enveloped by a magnetic field (for visual effects) holding it in place. you basically have to hit the target made of a soft metal type material that the arrow would become stuck in. the target could be a computer screen the arrow gets stuck in, or jelly levels have a stack of goo, while the more city like one could have satellites and broadcasting poles for targets.
