I currently have a curse-low Miracle Cloak, and I'm planning to get the Divine Veil for sure (no UVs for that one).
I'm not sure which one to go with. I'll probably play Divine Skolver/Vog and such.

I don't mind the Divine Veil having any normal defense, but wearing the divine set seems pretty risky, both having no normal.

:o

Divine set is good for Fsc and Ufsc. If I recall no monsters in T3 deal normal damage, just pure damage depending on the monster. Correct me if I am wrong.

not so

Chrome-Zero, your understanding of normal damage is correct. Although monsters deal much more specialized damage in Tier 3 than in Tier 1, there is still a lot of normal. In particular, trojans, slag guards, and Vanaduke all deal lots of normal. That's really the tough part of FSC. It's why a lot of people use Volcanic Plate Shield --- lots of normal protection. I'm not saying that full Divine is unwearable in FSC. I'm just saying that Vog Cub, etc. is more popular because the normal protection actually is really valuable.

So do not get a second piece of Divine. If you want to pursue the Magic line, then you have two choices. Grey Feather is wonderful for defense, although it offers no offensive bonuses. Chaos Cloak offers strong offense, especially if you play with multiple weapon types, but its defense is poor.

@Howardfeng

That's not quite how it works.

All melee attacks in T3 do about half normal, half special. Only ranged attacks do pure specialized damage. Some melee attacks such as those from Trojans and Thwackers do full normal damage, as well.

@Zeddy Trojans doing full

@Zeddy Trojans doing full normal has been changed a while ago to split normal split shadow. Not sure about Thwackers, but I think it's the same (the wiki seems to agree with me).

Some notable full normal mobs are Blast Cubes and Vanaduke.

No they don't. Minis and

No they don't. Minis and Royal Jelly don't either, as well as Rock Jelly. The wiki confirm this (for Blast Cubes, just try it yourself in FSC, I'm positive about that since I got hit today).
