First of all: I think it's really great we can download logs now and I had a lot of fun with those already.

But I noticed that the guild logs format or translations at least are already being changed.

Hope whoever is doing that is aware, that people are parsing that stuff (in their own different languages too - because it's not possible to download the "english originals" conveniently and in any case - now it's to late, because "data collection" has already started) and that we have to retain backwards compatibility for old logs?

Those things are already a PITA with the numbers in the middle of the text and the difference between "-5 gel drops" and "+5 gel drops" being "hidden" in the text... having to update it, maintain a list of changes over time and transforming old log formats into newer ones or vice versa doesn't make it better. Also it makes it a PITA to eliminate double entries, if parts of those change on a regular basis.

So... of course you have stuff to do & the log format will change... but it would be great if whoever is doing it could at just keep in mind what effect it has on the end user. Very small design choices can make a big difference here.
