Some kind of black puddle on the ground which try to seek you and morph into your knight and fight you but have extremely lower health when morphed. When killed, they would turn back into the puddle. and become weak to being stomp on unless you give them time to regain strength.

-When Transforming, It'll stay into said form until target dies.

-Take on your form with a weaker version of everything you have, as nothing is perfect.

-Will have lower HP which should allow you to 5~7 hit with 2 hit-combo sword.

-Armor
Strong to nothing, weak to none. It'll take avg damage against all damage type, but a tad bit more damage vs regular and a tad bit less vs all other element.

-Weapon
Weapon shall be base on recent damage it took. It will use just a regular sword to simplify coding, but have the elemental type of what ever hitted it last before it clone a player.

-Status Effect
I personally think this shouldn't apply, but too toughen things up, It'll have a chance to take on the last/longest-time-remaining(if applicable) status on it.

-Puddle can heal one another by combining with a morphed one, slightly boosting its current strength/defense.

Do feel free to give suggestion and criticism.

Well only question is, how do them mimics attack? Do they have the same weapons? So if i wield a elemental while wearing a skolver set, they can kill me so easily. Mimics will then have 2 weaknesses (elemental and shadow).

I don't think they should

I don't think they should have a set weakness, as they are to adapt base on its enemy.

If they constantly adapt, then you may as well make them resistant to everything from the beggining.

Well it can't take on

Well it can't take on everything at once like how when you play rock/paper/scissors, you can't be Rok-per-sors.

Pretty easily fixed armor issues:

"Defense type shall be the best armor def you have on your gear..."
What if I wear dragon armor? Then, neither type of defense looks like it'd be more than the other.

"...excluding normal."
What if I wear nothing but plate armor, or a vitasuit? Not very likely to happen, but you never know...

That, and the level should probably make it really obvious that they'll be around, so you can prepare.

Just make the mimic simpler.

Just make the mimic simpler. Use full-on normal defense (not weak or strong to anything) and whatever current weapon you have equipped; when it dies, it melts into a puddle and behaves like a Phantom, reforming after some period of time. Assuming you have a shield, it would behave like a Mechaknight or Crusader, auto-blocking at intervals when shot at, and three AI behaviors depending on whether you were equipped with a gun, bomb or sword when it copied you.
Sword is straightforward; it would charge up and unleash a sword combo at you (based on type of sword); guns would have it launch a charge attack or full clip depending on the gun; bombs would have it behave like a gremlin demoman (although it would run backwards instead of jumping) and throw down a single bomb (rate of fire would be higher for blast-type bombs, lower for duration-type bombs).

For a sword, just make it have Mecha Knight AI - some charges and some regular attacks.

P.S. how to kill a mimic easily: run up to it with a Fang of Vog, let it copy you, and watch it set itself on fire.
