Remove sticky bomb

Basically the assumption was that sticky bomb was a bug and that it was a low-priority fix. I was asking if it's considered an exploit when players go out of their way to abuse it. The blast network guide describes it as a bug and it seems to be like a bug (for reference: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Blast_Network_Guide) but it might actually be intended. My suggestion is to remove it for purposes of balancing.

My exchange with support:
Me: Is persistently and intentionally using the "sticky bomb" considered an exploit in the game? I do see some players do it as many times as they can and it's very hard to escape.

Support: Hi! Choosing to exclusively or mainly use only one of the available weapons is not considered an exploit, no.

Me: The sticky bomb isn't a kind of weapon but a technique where standing on your bomb causes the other player to get stuck and be unable to move in blast network. This seems like a bug or exploit because a person who dies on top of their bomb can make other players get stuck on it if they were standing there. It can happen accidentally but I see some players that go out of their way to make players "stuck" in blast network with this technique. Are you sure this isn't a bug exploit?

Support: I don't believe this is a bug, but feel free to submit a bug report using F2 or /bug, and our developers will review. However, I can see that this might be a balance issue. The best way to address this is to start a thread (or add to an existing thread on the topic) in the Suggestions forum: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/forum/7 This is where we review player feedback on how the game should be tweaked/improved to make things more fun. We appreciate your feedback!

Players should be solid not one on top of another. This will give a different feel to some situations.

You mean collision? It would

You mean collision? It would change the game some (especially since some people barrel through and trap).

I'd also like to see some snapping to a grid-like position so you aren't killed because you can't stand perfectly between two blocks.

+1, mmyes.

I vaguely recall reading a post a while back in which Nick stated that stickies are a bug. This is a bug that has needed fixing for a pretty long time.

Collision would definitely change up some situations and call for different tactics. For example, it would mean players wouldn't be able to share the same hiding spot to avoid an incoming blast. Deadly musical chairs, anyone? Also, would collision apply to players on the same team?

Snapping players to a grid would also surely help with the problem of dying because of imprecise positioning between/behind blocks. However, I feel like this would make movement feel slightly heavier and more restrictive.

Before I give my full approval of these ideas, I'd like the implementation of collision and snapping to be thoroughly player-tested (hopefully by a lot of BN regulars) on a test server.

In summary:
+1 to fixing stickies; would rather wait and see how the devs handle collision and snapping before I give more input.

That bug exploit makes too many people frustrated with the game.
It needs to go.

Shouldn't this be in the Wiki Editors section of the forums? Or am I misunderstanding? Kind of confused.... +1 anyway.

I suppose this thread straddles the line between being a bug report and a suggestion. We inadvertently suggested the ideas of collision and snapping.
