Hey, we all know spur, cutter and rocket hammers allow you to dash around and move the most while attacking, but which is right for you? Here I will compare the three.

Rocket Hammer:
Damage Type: Elemental
Normal Attack: Three hit combo that goes swing, dash, swing
Charge: Smash everything in front with the hammer for an AoE attack that happens twice, can move other players.
Ease of use: 6/10

Notes: This sword, while being a bit funky has some of the highest DPS. Over all after using it a while you'll have no need for an elemental weapon except for range. Even without damage bonuses this weapon tears through enemies like there is no tomorrow.

Cons: This sword does take a bit of getting used to and you have to pay to get it.

Should I get this?
Eff yes! Totaly worth it!

Spur:
Disclaimer: I only got a the spur, the 2* version from the AH and did a T1 expedition. Surprisingly I got it to level 8 from that expedition and beat snarby with it. I tried to like this sword but I couldn't.
Damage Type: Normal
Normal Attack: Three swings, the first from rest the other two lunging forward about a square and a half.
Charge: A swing that looks pretty and deals AoE, and a disk that shoots out afterwords.
Ease of use: 7/10

Notes: While being easy to get used to, It has no 5* version. For a "dancing blade" it felt more like I was using a heavy sword with a three hit combo from the speed of my combos, though my damage seemed appropritate for a 3 hit combo.

Cons: No 5* version, The disk on the charge is random and often doesn't appear, one time in Glooming Wild Woods the charge didn't appear at all while there was nothing around me besides a tree a square and a half to my character's left. If you shield, even without asi you can cancel out your whole charge. It's range of attack for the normal attacks is smaller and more limited that other swords.

Should I get this?
Only if you want to be a troll/hipster though you will need another weapon to keep you alive because this one doesn't.

Arc Razor:
This is version of Spur is actually less bulky though if you so much as shield during the charge, no disc of damage. It actually feels like a 3 hit combo weapon.

Winmillion:
This version of spur shoots out discs with every swing, which causes wolvers to teleport. the charge doesn't reach all switches guns would, and the damage of a disk with max damage versus undead deals like 66 damage in FSC.

Cutter:
Damage Type: Normal
Normal Attack: 5 hit combo that for the first hit is at rest but the other four move the player forward, with a phantom strike with each swing dealing additional damage.
Charge attack: 4 normal and 4 phantom strikes mixed together followed by a stronger normal and phantom strike that roots the player while dealing a good sum of damage.
Ease of use: 9/10 Anyone can pick this sword up and get used to it.

Notes: It's been a while since I had a cutter, but using the DVS and WHB often, I find I love them, faste and easy to use with enough speed to move around fast while attacking.

Cons: Lack luster damage.

Comparison Chart
Fun: Cutter>Rocket Hammers>Winmillion>Spur/Arc Razor
Hipster Cred: Winmillion>Arc Razor>Spur>Cutter>Everything Else>Rocket Hammer :c I still love you Rocket Hammer...
Over all useability: Rocket Hammer>Cutter>Arc Razor>Winmillion>Spur
Useability without shield: Winmillion>Cutter>Spur/Ark Razor>Rocket hammer
Damage: Rocket Hammer>Cutter>Winmillion

thanks, but

Such a comparison is worth doing, for people who haven't memorized the damage types, charge attack patterns, etc. And insofar as this thread was inspired by a question that I asked in another thread: Thanks. :)

But in that other thread I was specifically asking for a comparison of the mobility of Winmillion vs. WRH (and, sure, DVS/WHB). For example, can you move through a fight without ever walking --- just attacking? Is attacking as fast as walking? At what level of ASI? Using how much shield-canceling? Can you attack one zombie while dodging another?

You mention just a little about this kind of thing. If you have time, maybe you could elaborate on it?

Winmillion 4* version would have attack similar to cutter, there are a swing, and the disc thrown as a secondary attack. The damage total swing + disc would be comparable to leviathan (with slight little difference). When using charge, try not to shield cancel or immediately attack. If you cancel the charge attack animation prematurely, the razor wouldn't come out.

Out of all the swords excluding "heavy" ones and fov, I think winmillion stop your character longest at swings. I don't really like the delay. The speed is different than general three-swing swords and second-swing swords. It takes a while to know the timing to shield cancel or space out between swings. The attack area for winmillion swing seems smaller than brandish. I hate that too ._.

The mobility of WRH is really great that you can either dash for huge dps, dash to chip in and escape, or dash just to escape. However dash doesn't guarantee monster to flinch, that dash would most likely hurt you when you have no idea where to dash.

On Spur's behalf, at 4* it gains some energy discs on regular swings wich may give a diferent feeling.
It's like saying brandish or alchemer charges are bad by just using them a 2*

Altoguht I'm sure it wouldn't change your veredict, it's worth mentioning.

@all

My verdict has a disclaimer. I aim to correct that and get a winmillion, as well as going over each in more depth. This was a preliminary start and I hope to update it later.
