I've always admired tortodrones. I honestly wish I was in SK during the time they were around. So recently I've heard talk about them coming back. You can probably tell I am excited. My question is: Is this true? and: Will they stay forever, and not just for a week?

He's the best Hunter in the Spiral Order. Pretty sure he helped make the Tortodrone extinct.

They'd have to redo the Tortodrone though. From what I heard, they would basically stun lock you until death.

Actually that's false. Tortodrones was a mix between Vanaduke - fire + shard missiles (like those bombs that fall from the sky in the Roarmie twins). From my past experience with them Tortodrones were very difficult monsters to fight, but the fight could easily be avoided since they don't attack unless provoked.
It doesn't sound like anything serious. OOO is great at nerfing monsters :P
Tortodrone is coming back, and sooner rather then later most likely, I won't say how I know this due to forum rules but I have seen proof that makes me quite certain of the Tortodrone's return in the possible near future (as in roughly the first half of this year possibly).

Well, OOO said tortodrones would make a return in the future, but that was a LONG long time ago. However, with the return of the black kat, perhaps we may see the tortodrone return,hopefully permanently if it does, in the near future. Also, I'm with you Captain, I've been waiting and longing for the tortodrone for a long time as well.

i can back up what happyapathy says. tortodrone return might be near than we can expect.
old tortodrone mechanics were trojan + new shard bomb - front shield. bit boring if you ask me :/
Armero actually was in the game at the time of the Tortodrones, because if you look at the last part of the promotional trailer he's there taking on the Tortodrone.

If they said "The tortodrones will return" 2 years ago, then the tortodrones will probably be returning soon. Think about it, they would want to have old knights have something to hold onto so they will keep playing the game.

Well they won't. Developers don't just spill the beans of their secret new stuff that they're developing as soon as some upstart forumer asks them to.
They already stated 2 years ago that the Tortodrone is coming back, and that's all they need to say. Time does not make their words any less true.
