Well, I recently recieved an energy boost of about 1400 Crystal Energy, enough to potentially craft two 5* items, a cap and a coat. I own both a level 10 Ash Tail Cap and Coat, and now I need help choosing which 5* set to get. I am an adequate LD player, but my main focus in the game is to do missions and explore the Clockworks. Please help! BTW, I use the Avenger as my sword.

Ok first, 2 five star gear is 1600 ce not 1400 ce just to let you know.
Ok back to your question...
I'll recommend vog,since it gives u a ASI increase of very high which is really useful since u use an avenger as your sword.
Also your gonna need vog for fsc which i guarantee your gonna be farming ALOT.Then u can do what i did which was to farm fsc most of my time
and save enough for skolver..

O.K., Bopp, I might check out that guide. And two 5* items are 1400 if you use your daily mist. So, anyway, thanks for your help and I think I'll get Vog Cub.

You can craft a 5* with 700ce
You can craft a 5* with 700ce if you have 100mist. So with 1400 you can indeed craft 2, 5* items..

Magmanotar, I have a detailed sword guide written for people in your kind of situation. Check out the armor section.
Specifically, for Avenger/Divine Avenger: It's slow, so the ASI on Vog Cub helps. But if you find yourself using mostly charge attacks rather than regular attacks, then the ASI may be less valuable than the damage bonus from Skolver.
