I hope not. Too many weapons do explosions.

Rocket Hammer = Explosion on contact
Brandishes = Explosion on Charge Attack
Polaris = Explosion

and some other weapons do explosions too, name them if you know them...

Those Tier 1 shovels and wrenches do explosions too when you charge attack. I'm getting tired of looking at those "non-unique" charge attacks...

Lately, these past releases of weapons have been the same...

I think that pets should have

I think that pets should have 3* weapon damage and if you take it with you will pay extra energy. Other way to balance the game is feeding pets, if pet is hugry it will not deal full damage and good speed. Also pets sould be scared by shadow lair.

A few ideas

Dragon sprite: Flames
Support sprite: AoE
Kat sprite: bullets
Shock dragon sprite: laser

They needn't all be explosive, but I don't doubt that at least a few will be.

They WILL spin in the air
They WILL PROBABLY do explosions ( like about 75% of all other weapons in the game)
They WILL NOT be balanced IMO.
