Since the Antigua and Sealed Sword are both related weapons (Dark/Light, acquired via Jelly Gems, crafted with similarl mats), I think it'd only make sense to create a piercing sealed sword as well. Also, I'd suggest making the Stradivarius (Why name it after an expensive violin(s)?) green [I'm not sure how that would work out], because the Sealed Sword used to be green.
Ideas from the boresight of a gunner.
Its a great idea, i have an blitz and the mega magnus and i find it weird that the only guns in the game that make you stand still are piercing (accepting the pepperbox line) , this is really annoying because devilites and greavers both prey on unmoving targets so i think it would be a great idea to make a piercing gun like the AP or senteza or at least a piercing gun that made you able to move while firing.
Making the shots originate from the front of the character rather than the back isn't just an AP/Sentaza problem, it also applies to a bunch of different swords and guns. Valiance and DA/GF spring to mind. I've seen someone complain they got hit with a valiance bullet while standing behind the user. And would you agree that they should rework the charges to be faster, and not shoot the 6 useless bullets no one wants anyway?
(AP has an eagle, not an owl, btw.)
Snarbolax Gun - someone's idea of a 5* piercing gun. Personally, I like the crossbow variant better than the Antigua one, but it's up to OOO to decide what it looks like. I totally agree that a 5* mobile piercing gun is needed - I've even started bringing my Antigua into some stratum 5 devilite levels because of its sheer usefulness.
Magnus line - Iron Slug at any rate - is supposed to be a big, hard-hitting gun, right? Huge boolit slam into enemy's face. Callahan does piercing damage, which doesn't really fit into the line - even though the rest of the line does it too. How to balance it? Increase the range by maybe one or two squares, and make it do what it looks like it was designed to. For Iron Slug, give it stopping/flinching power. Not knockback, stopping. As in, it knocks down everything it hits (except big stuff of course). For Callahan, make it more like a sniper - still some stopping power, but make it have 1 longer range than Slug and make it actually pierce enemies, go through them, come out the other side, and hit the next guy too.

Why the name - Because it sounded cool. Like Sentenza does. xD Green could work too.
The idea of making Callahan more of a sniper gun is actually pretty interesting. Make it pierce through enemies with normal shots. Maybe make the charged shot less of a HUGE FREAKING BULLET and more of a very quick, very piercing shot. Would give it some sense then as to why it's piercing. It definitely needs that range increase and something to make it more of a heavy hitting gun.
Also, I always thought it was an owl. The face is too round for an eagle. No beak. And the talons on the bottom are too forward-reaching for an eagle.
THAT would really help the iron slug.
The Callahan, I think, needs a range buff and a damage buff. Maybe even just range. Then it'd be fine.
Yeah. In doing some tests in the training hall, the range on the Magnus line is.. they're all but melee guns. They just need something unique, and being crummy in range and unable to maneuver and having lackluster damage. Yeah. D:
I couldn't have said it better myself. I've always been bothered by the fact that there is no continuation of an Antigua. I don't mind my needle shot, but even though I play primarily as a sworder, i've always fancied myself a fast gun that is effective. I do like the damage and speed of the Valiance, but I feel like the full potential of a quick, mobility driven piercing gun has yet to be made. I just end up using my Barbarous Thorn Blade against most Devilites and Greavers, simply because, I can maneuver well. I know that the dodging capability of Devilites and such are what make them some of the most hideous monsters to fight in SK, but any gunner would appreciate not being left open for a duration for 5 or 6 greavers to fly around him and trap him. As it is, the idea is interesting, and the more we can keep things interesting in the SK world, the longer we will be enticed to stay active. Good idea, Veolen.
I think the range on the Magnus line is just right, but they could use a boost in other categories.
Piercing shells for the Magnus is something I've suggested and wanted for a very berry long time.
The Magnus line guns are basically Magnums (note: Callahan Reference).
They should pierce the way magnums famously do in a variety of other games.
It would give the Magnus line something unique to bring to the table.
While the dmg may still be subpar for T3, the ability to stun and mow down mobs should make it more than viable.
This is especially true if you know how to 2x swap it for fast, continuous fire.
If only Catalyzer charges exploded when the enemy dies too...
Hahaha, Stradivarius. Is that so you can sarcastically play the violin whenever you kill someone?
The 5* Antigua piercing line has been wanted since AP/Sentenza were made useful (That is, piercing removed). Any mobile piercing gun would do.
By the by, AP/Sentenza have reasons why they're named that...not really cause they just "sound cool" like apparently Stradivarius does. 'Argent' is heraldry, usually in silver, represented by the color white, and Peacemaker is obvious. 'Sentenza' is Italian for "Verdict" or "Sentence". As in, resolving a problem or passing a sentence.
Just thought I'd throw that in there...I don't think Stradivarius makes sense being piercing, unless you suck at playing the Violin...that's piercing.
