While Spiral Knights is a great game, it does take some skill to play, and there are far too many players that run around who don't know enough about combat and they end up hindering the party (Myself included).

But the only way to get true combat experience is to spend precious energy and venture down into the Clockworks themselves, which can be a long and frustrating experience, with the veteran players mocking and degrading others on their mistakes and the poor newbie not knowing what they did wrong.
So why not create a mission that provides all different sorts of monsters to combat so when you do go down into the Clockworks, you're better prepared for what's to come?

Things this mission would have:
-Three different versions, one for each tier (Because last time I checked, monsters change according to tier, and so do strategies)
-Several sealed areas with monster generators that spawn different monsters, just like the Shufflebots in the Advanced Training Hall; only with things like Lumbers, Trojans, Wolver packs, and Gun Puppies!
*No status mobs, only the standard version of them (Can't kill all the fun, can you?)

+1 to teaching noobs instead of yelling at them

There was a similar suggestion to this in the old Guild Hall upgrades thread,, way too lazy to look through all 450+ posts to find it for you though. :|

Apparently it got cut off...

Other things it would have:
-No heat, crowns, items and prestige, of course.
-Heart generators and free respawn
-Arsenal Station
-A special party-button zone that simulates the last room of an arena, so it gives a taste of real combat
-Monsters deal and take damage just as they would normally, no spoonfeeding here.

The great thing about this is that it won't make the Clockworks easy-mode, as there's no way you can simulate the multitude of traps, obstacles, and puzzles that the game offers; but it provides basic first-hand combat experience on how to actually fight monsters other than rushing in Rambo-style.

People need to be able to find out how basic monsters will react.

I don't think higher tiers of practice should be available outside of guild halls but eh, I think you just put the 'advanced' in Advanced Training Hall.

The practice monsters themselves should be reminiscent of Battle Sprites. Makes sense, right?
