Tired of the same old fire, poison, and freeze pad? If you are I have a suggestion for you.

Introducing the new sleep, stun, and curse pads. These new pads can be placed in places like lockdown maps, clockworks floors and shadow lair/boss fights, and in training halls.

I'm suggesting this so there is a challenge in the game and maybe expansion or danger missions from this. I also would like this so the new knights know about these status effects that are mostly rare, with the exception of stun of course. This is also a good way to learn how much damage and how effective these status effects are.

I'm open to anything to help make this suggestion better. If you like this just give a +1 and that you for your support.

Note: I don't have details of what they do because, well they are status pads. Also, some of this isn't original so don't diss me because its unoriginal, because it is both I know it isn't original and it is just a dumb reason to hate a post.

Thanks guys,
Hyiaku.

Anyways. Stun and Curse pads and traps might work, but just tell me how Sleep is going to? I mean, you know the effect of sleep, right? No you don't, or.. probably, it has been removed since a long time, so you might ask a beta tester to know the effects, but we can just conclude that from the Sleep effect on monsters. When you throw a Sleep Vial on any monster, they become neutral, stops attacking you, and heal themselves a small bit in each X amount of time.

Ok, now implement this for Knights using pads, what is going to happen? They will be in eternal sleep! Why? Because when the knight is going to touch the Sleep Pad, he is going to be inflicted, and stay still, which means the Pad will cast Sleep on him again and again, until he dies.

See? You need details before posting ideas and suggestions. But at least, you used proper spelling this time, and deserve a neutral feedback.

+0 For Curse Pads ( Not necessary in my opinion )
+1 For Stun Pads
-1 For the Sleep Pads ( Explained ^ there )

How do players get out of Freeze pads? Same idea for Sleep.
Except players can't wake allies, only if they're attacked by monsters or the duration wears off.
And the pad could have a longer delay than normal as well.

Do you mean stun pads as in the Trap Grates but with a yellow haze rising out of them?

@hexzyle

Yes that's what I mean.

@dragneel-wiki (am I correct? I always get confused)
Since sleep has been off for a while, I'm thinking you'll be sleeping for 2-5 seconds depending on what teir you are, just to make it harder. I'm thinking to wake them you should get hit by a monster, like how when we hit slags when they sleep and wake up, or if you get hit with a heavy sword. I was pondering if that would work but it seems to. I'm thinking the pad will give its effect for 10 seconds, working on time but thinking this will work, and paus for like 6 seconds so they can recover and get out of there.(using teir three sleep pad as explaining.) ill let you know more effects of it in a bit, I'm out of time to post so I'll post more later.

Gonna hafta say no to Sleep

Gonna hafta say no to Sleep and Curse pads.

Curse is pretty rare and pretty deadly as is; but it's useless if there's no form of opposition around. Cursed with no enemies in sight? /sit and wait it off. Curse should only be dealt by enemies because that's WHERE it becomes deadly.

Sleep is definitely a bad idea, unless they rework Sleep to be radically different from what it is now. You get hit, and you're stuck there. No enemies to slap you awake, allies can't slap you awake, you'll just be stuck there as the trap constantly reapplies Sleep. Even Tier 3 Freeze Gates are pretty bad at this as.

I'm PRETTY CERTAIN that there are stun traps in the forms of spikes. Only problem is they're very difficult to discern and VERY rare. I'd enjoy them being retextured to be golden spikes with a bit of hazy haze lingering over them. Stun is the only one that doesn't hafta be enemy dependent, so I'm casting my vote for that.

Also, do everyone on the suggestions forum a favor and give this topic a proper title. 'Curse, Sleep, and Stun traps' is far more appealing to read than just 'Hey I have an idea but I'm not gonna tell you so you HAVE to click my topic.'

Show stun when you step on the spikes and show a message "When you step on the spikes, chances are you can be stunned!".

Curse pads will be too OP'ed, unless you plan to make it a short duration.

Sleep pads... But if you have sleep resistance that are in red bars, then you can be stuck there forever and eventually die. I see that you want to add new pads. Curse pads should be planned to have a short duration of curse, not 40. Otherwise, people will keep landing on it, being able to attack for the whole depth.

Curse pads might be a bit biased against players without multiple weapon slots, but good idea.
